I’ve been posting a photo a day to Instagram for years. It’s an unhealthy habit, but it’s led me to be a little adventurous with color. Anyway glad it worked out this time.
You beautiful bastard! I had one of these and thought it was one of the coolest bits of tech I ever owned. Your post generated so much nostalgia over having to hold my watch in just the right aspect to complete the data transfer. I remember people watching me sync and being shocked (although that was perhaps at how much of a nerd I was to have one). I like to think they were reacting to the tech.
Very nice work! Now I just need to find my old watch…
So I was in the middle of typing out “I always turn off Windows Defender for this exact reason!”, but I thought better of it and checked… turns out when I reset my computer last I skipped a step in my procedures lol
Thank you for pointing out the obvious! It is almost always helpful!
pfSense comes with a fairly closed default firewall. You’ve done a decent job of describing the physical configuration of the network. What is the logical configuration? What VLAN(s) have you set up? In the firewall page, what tabs/headings are there? At minimum, you should see “Floating”, “WAN”, and “LAN”.
Also, includes the networking config for Proxmox and the pfSense VM. You can grab those details from the Proxmox GUI.
Thank you so much for the response! However, it as actually much much simpler. I skipped a step in my procedures after resetting my computer, apparently, and forgot to turn off Windows Defender!
Is there any reason your engaging, or could you just let it go. I never said there was new coverage just maintaining circulation of existing articles. That’s significant in my book. Usually stories like that get buried, and clearly this didn’t.
Huh?? You literally said “it’s still getting coverage” so I asked where it’s getting coverage and why you didn’t share that instead, and now You’re saying “I never said it was getting new coverage”
I engaged because I hoped there was actually news on a post in World News that was interesting to me. clearly there isn’t any. Cool.
