I’ve been racking my brain lately thinking of what are good methods to increase internal airflow in a house with few windows, all facing the wrong direction to catch wind. What are your ideas?...
… all the time to come to earth but you arrive as a billionaire would you do it?
To preface this, I’ve used Linux from the CLI for the better part of 15 years. I’m a software engineer and my personal projects are almost always something that runs in a Linux VM or a Docker container somewhere, but I’ve always used a Mac to work on personal and professional projects. I have a Windows desktop that I use...
Hey, I’m trying to calibrate my Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 on Bazzite OS, but I am running into issues. My problem is that my cursor is ~10px off from my pen tip, which makes drawing quite weird. Common sense would take you to KDE Plasma’s settings app, but the “Drawing Tablet” Input Device setting does not feature a tablet...

Looking for a Lemmy client for my desktop, archlinux. Was hoping for a good community recommendation and preferably open source.
We are running Navidrome to serve up our music, and I want to use smart playlists to listen to my music on “random”, but in a way that surfaces higher rated songs more often. Doing it this way requires a smart playlist that contains other smart playlists....

Gog-games has returned; if you missed it, they went private for a while, then announced they were coming back in a week. They seem to have come back early.
I host a few docker containers and use nginx proxy manager to access them externally since I like to have access away from home. I followed all steps: I disabled network manager’s automatic search for networks with sudo systemctl disable NetworkManager.service, I executed sudo ip link set wlp4s0 down as well, sudo macchanger -r wlp4s0 returned [ERROR] Could not change MAC: interface up or insufficient permissions...
I’ve been looking around to find a good, privacy respecting way to sync my messages between phones. I decided I’m going to use SyncThing so I don’t have to mess around with a server. The only problem with this is that I haven’t been able to find any apps that work on modern Android that routinely backup and import...

While the exact details of this vulnerability are still investigated (see hereif you want to catch up on the topic), I wanted to share some of the thoughts I had regarding to what this incident means for the wider open source ecosystem....
