Hi everyone!...
Just wondering what people who have watched Netflix’s new One Piece series think....
A family member of mine in Germany is looking for a laptop in the 100-200€ price range. It would be okay to buy used and it shouldn’t be one of those modern Celeron laptops. It should still have a fairly slim design and a processor at least good enough to run Minecraft at low settings with ~30fps on Linux. Is this even a...
I hadn’t cried in 7 years and decided to do some emotional exercises to make myself cry. So I managed to cry about 4 months ago, haven’t been able to since even with my grandmothers death. Might start trying again.
I’m reading the ActivityPub spec here and it seems pretty fit for client-to-server communications. Yeah, it might be somewhat bulkier than your typical rest api, but it’s more universal, which begs the question: why do mastodon and lemmy both decided to implement custom (and incompatible) APIs for their clients to talk to...
Has anyone been able to get consistent mouse input on black ops 1 zombies? Most maps feel okay, but I can’t get Call of the Dead to a remotely playable state…...

I am looking for some good tech sites that have longer articles and indepth reviews. Preferably without an obvious biased towards a particular company or brand. edit: I should have clarified what to was looking for. I would like to compile a list of lesser-known but useful websites so that I can stay current on tech news without...
As a user, the best way to handle applications is a central repository where interoperability is guaranteed. Something like what Debian does with the base repos. I just run an install and it’s all taken care of for me. What’s more, I don’t deal with unnecessary bloat from dozens of different versions of the same library...

Hope text posts are okay. Weird request I know but, I was just thinking of the song “Blow up the Pokies” and it kind of reminded me of a certain mood of depressing Australian music that I kind of like to wallow in sometimes, I feel like I heard this kind of thing a lot in the 90s but can’t think of many examples. The...
I like audiobooks on audible and my free trial has expired, I forgot to save some files through libation, so now, where can I pirate the audiobooks on audible?...

I was thinking about this after listening to Marc Andreassen blather on about how he doesn’t trust government as a repository of trusted keys and other functions. He advocates for private companies to perform critical functions. Standard libertarian stuff in many respects....
Most applications clog up the cache space on your device’s memory. You have to delete the cache manually which is not convenient. Fedilab is one of the few applications that has a self-cleaning cache function when exiting the application. Why don’t many other apps have a feature to disable caching or self-clear the cache?
