A year ago I set up Ubuntu server with 3 ZFS pools on my server, normally I don’t make copies of very large files but today I was making a copy of a ~30GB directory and I saw in rsync that the transfer doesn’t exceed 3mb/s (cp is also very slow)....
Should I bother with HTTPS over Tailscale?
I have a home server and I have some HTTP services running on it. I’m thinking if I should even bother with HTTPS, as I’m already using tail scale which should be peer-to-peer and encrypted. So I shouldn’t worry about any men in the middle....

I currently have a Dell laptop that runs Windows for work. I use an external SSD via the Thunderbolt port to boot Linux allowing me to use the laptop as a personal device on a completely separate drive. All I have to do is F12 at boot, then select boot from USB drive....

How can i rsync over my network without using ssh?
I have 6 devices that i rsync to a central location to back them up. Ive been using ssh as the -e option.
