Starting my life from scratch in late twenties again. Learned 99% about life in the past couple of solitary nothing-to-do years, or I’ll just say, my thinking/ doing has changed completely. Now, I’m having a hard time relating to things other people relate to. Spending a lot of time alone surely is life changing. When you start to believe in nothing, you have a hard time dealing with people.
My muscles ache every time I run a fever. No matter how I adjust my body I’m in pain. I don’t know how common it is but people usually look at me funny when I say it’s the worst part about getting sick for me. I always assumed it had something to do with my muscles still recovering from the gym when the fever shuts my body down.
Unstable is and from what I’ve heard, nixpkgs even is one of the fastest repos with updating packages (also the largest). But I still wouldn’t recommend it for OP.
@mateowoetam It is Debian Sid. You can use Debian 12 Installer. After installing, you can change your repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list to sid, and running apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade. I suppose you would prefer installing minimal packages before upgrading to Sid.
I’m under 20 years old (not gonna tell you the exact age), but both a linux user and a tech enthusiast. I strongly agree that the Fediverse needs people from all walks of life. Like Reddit. Personally, I think the key reason is that people don’t want to leave their comfort zone. “Hey, Mike, check out this social network called Lemmy!” “No, why would I use that? I’ve already got Reddit. That thing doesn’t even have a lot of users.”
Bibisco2 is a JavaScript app, unlike version 1. It seems .bibisco2 files are only created when exported, otherwise it’s in a database somewhere. You can add custom formats in recovery tools like TestDisk and Photorec. I could look around and see if the database or the bibisco2 export files have a header, which I think is required to add a format.
Edit: Nevermind, there’s a paid version which creates bibisco2 files automatically.
Yes, the paid version (in use here) can create those bibisco2 files, though only the auto-save backups are by default. As you said, by default, the work is in a type of database format with a gibberish GUID-like naming convention.
It’s the auto-save files we’re after.
I’m getting setup with an external drive large enough to write recovered files to, but I don’t like my odds at discerning how to add custom formats based on headers. I’ll watch some tutorials and see what I make of it.
Lemmy keeps me from doom scrolling like what I did when I still had my Facebook and Reddit accounts, and fck me I’m 25. Some content from mainstream social medias are too noisy, too personal, too annoying, and too short for my taste, and accidentally watched and heard them from public places.
I remember sitting there in front of a TRS-80 Model 1 computer, copying lines of code out of a Byte magazine; not knowing exactly what I was doing but thinking it was the coolest thing in the world.
It’s not TikTok. That is for sure (the new hotness for teens). And so in the world of Reddit and Facebook the early adopters are … the people you describe. Mastodon seems a bit more diverse - since it’s branches from Twitter but Lemmy and Kbin is Reddit refugees and those are … 30+ nerds.
