!ebookdeals isn’t dead, but lately there have been a lot of duplicates of recent past deals and I’ve been super busy the last month with the school year ramping up.
Companies aren’t innovative. Once they land on a formula they just keep using it. Eventually it gets stale and the company crashes or buys another company that had a good idea and runs it into the ground. Innovative games happen when a AAA company happens to acquire an indie studio at the right time to give them runway to properly polish their game.
Donating blood plasma is good as it helps people in need. Sure, it sucks that there is a company in the middle making a profit, but not donating is not the solution to that problem, as it hurts the people in need more than the corporation in the middle.
I think its kinda similar to the tipping situation. Yes it sucks that restaurants don’t pay their employees properly and that you have to tip to support the employees. But not tipping hurts the employees rather than the restaurant owner.
In both cases, if we want change, we need to change the legislation.
Eating dinner with family daily. I was talking with some coworkers and apparently this isn’t something most people do anymore? I really enjoy this time with them and we’ve always had great conversations while I was growing up and now with my own family.
I’m very interested, would like to have family dinner tradition too when/if I start a family. I just don’t have any idea how to start. Can you tell me more how does the routine go? Like, who is responsible for what? Do you cook/buy dinner? What are the do’s and don’ts while having dinner? How to enforce it while making sure everyone enjoy this routine? What kind of obligations are okay as an excuse to not participate?
I know it’s too many questions, just the gist of it is fine.
Crimzon Clover’s really fun. It’s similar to Dodonpachi. Another good one is Ikaruga. It has an interesting mechanic we’re you switch colors to absorb bullets.
Avoid Sine Mora and other “euroshmups”, they just suck to play.
And most of the US media is owned by billionaires who prefer Trump to win. Even CNN is now publishing hard fact checking of Harris while the calls to violence against the Haitian community in Springfield should be front and center… the language Trump is using is literally the same as what Hitler did pre WW2…
this way of thinking assumes that having "muhh team" win will result any change, when historical record shows that the two party system has degraded quality of life for most people over last 40 years with no end in sight.
but sure keep voting for your team lol we can revisit this topic when we are all living hand to mouth and have even less economic power
ahh yes... muhh team right, vote for my guy, trust me bro 🤡
Anyway, the two party regime is the same guy, y'all can keep doing these mental gymnastics but people are taking notice. why keep doing the same thing and expect different result?
You can keep voting for your "guy" while some will vote third party as protest vote to deny the regime legitimacy.
I’m not convinced democrats have been completely against fracking. I think it’s location based as fracking does or can have extreme negative consequences on the surrounding environment, so doing it around a major city aquifer probably isn’t the greatest idea. Fracking out in the middle of nowhere might be more positively embraced.
HomeAssistant, it’s such an awesome Tool. You want to combine your plant sensors with air quality sensors and an plant light? Easily done. You want to forward your mastodon follower count to an mqtt-LED-Pixel-Clock? No problem.
My favorite thing I’ve done with hass is put a color-changing light bulb by my front door. It’s connected to the weather forecast. I know what the weather will be at a glance without a website or going outside. (Where I live, it’s not always obvious when I’m gonna get rained on.)
