In my case, I didn’t see any advantages compared to public trackers. Users of private trackers are supposedly all so elite, but in reality they pay for seedboxes and try to be the first to download literally every new release to at least somehow support the ratio around 1.0.
Guys, while you seed all sorts of junk for the sake of who knows what, I seed really useful content on public trackers and have a ratio of 99.3, which in fact does not affect anything.
There are normal private trackers, of course, such as Milkie, but there are a lot of dead torrents there.
Planning is well and good but your present self should be driving towards your future, not the other way around which is how this kind of feels. In some ways it strike me that you seemed to see yourself as the future state person that you wanted to be rather than who you are. It may be worth taking a step back to try and rediscover who you really are “right now” as a person, not what you think or thought you wanted to be, if the plan has been in place that long you may find that at heart you just aren’t in the same headspace as the you from all those years ago. With that done, reassess what the current you wants and set out to “make” those things happen, don’t trust for the new plan to just natural play out, each thing should at least be treated like its going to take effort. If getting a family together is a thing and really important, don’t just hang out at bars waiting for a connection to happen. Get on apps and sites and date like it’s your 2nd job. Building on that as an example, if you’re a halfway decent person you will find somebody, but it might still be person 112 and you have to put in the work to get through the first 111 to get to them.
Your character doesn’t speak per say, so you usually are limited to gestures for interacting with other players.
The stone refers to a series of items thatve been around since dark souls 1 where you drop a magic stone and a voice comes out saying the line. In dark souls 1 and some others it was a rock you dropped and it broke open making sound, so the “stone” term stuck.
In elden ring it’s called a “prattling pate: ‘voice line here’”. Your character blows into it like a flute kinda and the line is spoken.
Basically the guy showed up, said “damn ur fashion is on point” then left :)
In the game, there are stones that you can find, and when you use them, they say something. There’s no voice chat in the games, so these can be used to communicate

Something about your plans was very appealing to you. What about them gave you a sense of identity? Why those plans specifically? Try to figure that out: be very specific, write it down even, and discuss it with people. Once you figure out the driving force behind your plans, use that to guide you.

well yeah obviously, 3rd party launchers that are optional to use because they serve a purpose. Forced launchers like uplay and origin are the issue. they serve no purpose and offer a worse experience for the user and are forced on your system. Back in my day when a piece of software came with something else that pops up on your screen and runs in the background bogging down your system and collecting data, we considered that a virus.
You checked if you have a DS-Lite contract? Those are very popular. Especially with O2, Vodafone and the fiber ISPs.
The problem: You get only an IPv4 CG-NAT IP and a regular IPv6 IP. If your ISP (for example at work) did not configure an IPv6, you will not be able to connect (A and AAAA DNS records).
I assume you set up the port forwarding in your Fritzbox (under Internet > Freigaben > Portfreigaben)?
If it has the proper external port connected to your internal port it should connect.
Really? Ubisoft though? If there’s any game studio I could do without, it would be Ubi. Because of their practices I haven’t bought a game from them in years and years, and honestly it’s not even been a challenge to pass them up.
I actually have a number of games that are Ubisoft that I love. They aren’t super new or anything, but they aren’t flops by my metrics (granted, I bought them used long after launch)
I didn’t know they were when I got them, then the ubiconnect thing comes up and I just don’t do that, and it’s just a game that takes longer to load than it should.
Idk about any super bad practices, maybe PC is different from console stuff? (which is how I play, hence used game market, because I can sell it later if needs must) or is this something that spans console as well? What sort of bad practices?

Unfortunately the biggest Fedi software refuses to add automated reporting of offensive posts so if it's not reported, the admins won't even see it.
People coming from corporate social media are used to ignoring the report button because in their experience, it either doesn't work, or gets ignored by admins anyway.
@BeAware@dch82 Maybe im a little lost. Isn't there a block and report button on Mastodon? I'm using Misskey and both buttons seem to work. I mean im reporting to myself, but the button seems to work. What kind of automated blocking are you trying to do here?
However, people from corporate social media won't report posts because in their experience, it either doesn't get taken seriously or the admins ignore it. Corporate social media sites don't exactly act on reports in a timely manner.
I'm on my own instance, I moderate for myself. I don't want slurs to exist on my instance at all. However, if I don't see them with my own eyes, I cannot ban the user.
PS. I'm talking about banning users that are harassing others on the instance level. These are user actions. I am an admin. I run my own instance.
@BeAware@dch82 So Mastodon not have a wordlist you can populate that "removes" posts with the keywords you provide? It took me a while to find it in Misskey, works like a charm,
@AterNox@dch82 doesn't exist for admins. It works on a "user" level. But that won't remove the post or data from the instance, it just "hides" it so the single user can't see.
I’m confused, do you mean like automated enforcement rules/algorithms like big SM has? I.e. if user gets reported for breaking Y rule X amount of times ban user for Z amount of time and forward to admin for further action?
A user using the n word, full on with the hard R, isn't gonna be a good post. It should be automatically reported to me so that I can judge context and take action.
Ah, makes sense now, that is dumb. I can totally see why they would have issues with automated enforcement, but what you described I don’t see why anyone would be against it lol
I unironically think it would be easier to train users that the report button works now than it would to get automated reporting that was worth a damn implemented.
I’m fine with auto REPORTING, but the actual moderation needs to be a human. Auto moderation is bad. It gets things wrong. It’s how I got banned from both twitter (calm down, this was back in 2018 before it was an elon owned nazi cesspool), and reddit.
On twitter I saw a funny video that was posted, and I replied “Aw man, that killed me”.
I want to do the actual judgement, but if I don't know the post exists, I can't judge anything and it makes me so mad that possible racist stuff can exist on my instance without my knowledge because I havent "seen" it.
