David Attenborough, maybe

ReversalHatchery , to piracy in Does anyone consume scene music?

All I can think of about “the scene” is game/software crackers. Do you mean that? And the music in their installers and cracktros.
Probably not, though, these are often embedded in the program executable.

Hobthrob , to asklemmy in Why do human beings feel the constant need to be validated for their actions/opinions/interests/etc.?

Some good answers, but I also want to point out that this isn’t actually a universal need.

I think that our social nature, and the way most societies and communities work (particularly in countries that subscribe to exceptionalism) makes them prone to developing these feelings, but they very much are not universal and can even be unleaned.

phoenixz , to linux in Whats your go-to naming conventions?

Since Linux is caps sensitive, at least I always use lowercase.

I guess I use kebab case for any file used for IT projects

That’s why camelcase starts with a lower letter. If you’re using a good terminal+shell setup then it’ll be irrelevant most of the time.

On foss category KDE connect. I use my phone as keyboard and mouse to navigate my laptop/PC while sleeping on my beanbag. You could use wireless mouse or keyboard but i find KDE more convenient. Also i can control the media from there

For non foss believe it or not it was google lenses, i used to use Accessibility Button setting floating bubble just for lense easy access from google assistant. They removed it and change it to “Gemini AI” now you need to screenshot and open the separate app.

Before that you just open it from accessibility and just search the screen. Translate, searching products from your screen, copy paste text from image you can do it from there no need for screenshot.

Edit : Just found out that you can change the default assistant function from the assistant app. I can use the lens with accessibility setting again *Horay

cosmicrookie , to nostupidquestions in How do I alleviate bitterness due to lack of intimacy?
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

My guess is, that you keep talking to the wrong women or you try to advance into a relationship too fast

In my experience, both women and men can and often do see past the physical outer and see the personality behind. The appearance is, as you say, the catalyst for initial attraction but if you keep at it, and maybe continue talking with people they should be able to see past their requirement of you not being skinny. If not, they may be using it as an excuse for not really feeling the convection. If they indeed like you as a person but not your body, then you are probably better off without them.

Also remember. No rellationship, is better than being in a bad rellationship. We all need to go through relationship’s to get better at being in one but there is no reason to look for one just to have one. It needs to be with the right person and looks play a pretty small part in this, in the long run
