One thing I do to help with this is often ask it to double check itself, it sounds kind of stupid but works quite well most of the time to help cut out hallucinations or factual errors

Skunk ,

From the forum in my comment below.

Yup, they used it, only for paratroopers but they had some.

maniii ,

That vespa and that cannon do not look survivable if para-dropped. Also an artillery cannon with no-recoil ? How would that even work on a Two-wheeler like a scooter ? Im pretty sure you would have to dismount and re-assemble the cannon on solid ground.

Mcduckdeluxe ,

It’s probably a recoilless rifle, doesn’t need to be anchored like a normal cannon.

maniii ,

Despite the name, it is rare for the forces to completely balance, and real-world recoilless rifles do recoil noticeably (with varying degrees of severity).

A Vespa cannot take that kind of forces and survive.

Atlas_ , to nostupidquestions in How do I alleviate bitterness due to lack of intimacy?

Much of the advice in this thread is either “Do xyz and you’ll have better chances!” or “It’s ok to be unattractive, it doesn’t mean you’re bad! Feel better!”. But that doesn’t answer your question.

It hurts, a lot, to not have intimacy for extended periods. It can burn, it can ache, and it can be a slow, subtle sort of pain. It can give rise to bitterness, as you call out, and to anger, sadness, listlessness, frustration.

Why don’t you want to be bitter? It’s a painful thing that is happening to you. That feeling isn’t wrong, it’s telling you something. If you feel a lot of pain and then suddenly stop feeling pain, that is very bad - it usually means you’re dying or your nerves are damaged. There’s no quick fix or silver bullet that will allow you to hold this like an old stoic, it’s just a lot of work.

There’s three places you can intervene: thoughts, words, and actions.

Thoughts are where this starts. If you don’t have bitter thoughts you won’t have bitter speech or actions. When you have bitter thoughts, just let them be. Don’t spiral - feeling bitter about intimacy isn’t great, but feeling bad about feeling bitter strengthens both, and it feeds itself from there. When you notice yourself spiraling or wallowing, just stop. Find a distraction or will yourself better or whatever, just don’t let it feed itself. Meditation might help if this mental action is difficult. If you can find a positive channel for these emotions (which is quite hard to find), use it!

Speech is the first layer where this can affect others, but it’s significantly lower stakes than actions. Generally, be conscientious. People can’t willingly un-know things so be careful with what you share. Don’t vent unless someone willingly signs up for it (which you can ask friends to do!). Don’t put this out like it’s a problem for someone else to fix or the worst thing that ever happened. It sucks, but it is manageable - you are managing it. When you make mistakes, point and call them. Say out loud “I did/said xyz, that was a mistake because abc, sorry, next time I’ll do/say mno instead.” This helps make a memory for you and others so you actually fix things and opens the door for feedback.

Actions will hopefully only come into this positively. Do the things that make good thoughts and speech easier. Learn to recognize how frustration and anger and bitterness feel in your body so that you can better notice+control them in the moment, and so that you can physically release that tension/sensation. If you feel urges to hurt others or yourself seek therapy.

It sucks. It hurts a lot in ways that many don’t understand or sympathize with. And it is itself a significant barrier to intimacy. I haven’t figured it all out myself, but I hope this helps. Good luck.

Just remember Mario, your princess is in another castle.

You could start doing single activities, depending on where you live. Even if you don’t find someone right for you, you could hang out with people in the same general situation.

Terrot 500 RGSTA ?

Peugeot 175 D4 ?

From this forum (en français bien sûr). It speak about motorbike since 1950, so that would make sense with Indochine and I think I can recognise some of the models from archive photos. It says that before 1950, French army used a bunch of brands like BMW, Harley, Triumph, Gnome et Rhone and others from 1930 and WWII, but from 1950 and onwards they tried to harmonise the material and the list is on the forum.

Otherwise, your best bet would be searching for CEFEO material (corps expéditionnaire français en Extrême-Orient) as it was the more involved in the war.

There is a book about material used in this war but I don’t know if they wrote anything about motorbikes.

The forum from the first link seems to be a good source of information tho.

LiGNUx, VLC, Firefox w/Ublock, KDE Connect, Dolphin, Kate, KDE. Vim, i3wm, Keepasses, yt-dlp, deluge, freecad, librecad, slic3r/cura. Some of these are clearly redundant or overlap. My use cases vary

Non-foss: Steam library.

I wouldn’t spend so much time on the PC if I had to pay a premium for every little thing much like I’ve experienced with my arts-related hobbies.

Mikelius , to selfhosted in Recommendations and feedback!

I converted my gaming machine into a server as well. I actually took the graphics card out as I couldn’t find a major use for it, but kept the 12 core Ryzen and upped it to 128gb memory. It now self host way too many things, including a few game servers my friends and I play… But even with all this, CPU carries along nicely and not even at half memory consumption (yet).

But as others have asked, what’s your goal? Don’t overkill it if you’re only hosting one service or something. If you’re doing a lot like I do, then up the RAM. And seriously consider whether the GPU is even useful or needed if you’re not using a desktop environment.

I don’t want to sound like an AI fanboy but it was right. It gave you minimum requirements for most VR games.

No man Sky’s minimum requirements are at 1060 and 8 gigs of system RAM.

If you tell it it’s wrong when it’s not, it will wake s*** up to satisfy your statement. Earlier versions of the AI argued with people and it became a rather sketchy situation.

Now if you tell it it’s wrong when it’s wrong, It has a pretty good chance of coming back with information as to why it was wrong and the correct answer.

daggermoon , (edited ) to nostupidquestions in What the hell even is Diet Coke?

It’s a cola with an artificial sweetener. There’s lots of misinformation out there about diet soda. It mostly passes through you, unlike regular soda which has lots of sugar that your body stores as fat. Not to say either one is healthy because it most certainly is not. However, phosphoric acid in cola (both regular and diet) can lead to an increased risk of kidney stones. In case anyone is wondering I do not work for big soda, I’ve just read way too much about this topic. That being said please drink more water. Unsweetened tea or black coffee is also acceptable. Anything is fine in moderation. Soda is supposed to be a treat enjoyed once in a while, now it’s a mass market product that is way too accessible. And no diet soda does not cause cancer, please stop citing a garbage study that has been disproven every subsequent trial.
