reddig33 , to showerthoughts in What if walk in clinics offered euthanasia services?

They would probably have a difficult time hiring or getting malpractice insurance. Euthanasia is a specialty — like neurology, anesthesia, surgery, etc.

I’ve sometimes had this bug on Bazzite, but it seems to be game-specific when it happens.

BenchpressMuyDebil , to nostupidquestions in Are there any travel bags that are exactly the size of the spirit airlines personal item bag?

It’s not exactly those dimensions, but check out Osprey Daylite Tote Pack. I read some airline summary and the OP said it fits every single one, even the more restrictive ones

A ton of digital signage (think fast food restaurant menus) run Linux as well.

Most home routers do as well.

Fisch ,
@Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de avatar

Wouldn’t a home router with Windows cost way more because of the licence?

wildbus8979 ,

Probably would also need like ten times the amount of ram and disk space. These things usually run on 64/128Mb of RAM and anywhere from 8 to 32Mb of flash.

I worked in retail until 2016, and a few years before I left they switched all the PoS registers to Linux.

LostWanderer , to showerthoughts in What if walk in clinics offered euthanasia services?

Oof, yeah, Death By Appointment might be a better name as I couldn’t see them offering on the spot meat suit evacuation! It’s a process to get approval for getting a humane end to one’s medical suffering. They’d likely be too swamped to do it any other way.

istanbullu , to linux in What is the proper way to install Vulkan drivers in Linux Mint 21.3 with an AMD GPU? (I think this issue is solved)

you should just install mesa, no?

vortexal OP ,
@vortexal@lemmy.ml avatar

Yes but the problem for me was more complicated. Mesa is installed by default in Linux Mint and Vulkan should have worked out of the box but for some reason it defaulted to the wrong Kernel driver for the GPU. I didn’t know this before posting and, as I stated in other replies, every search result on every search engine told me the wrong information.

I’ve been using Kagi for a while now and I love it. I actually get useful search results. Yeah, it’s paid, but it’s sooo worth it.

Here’s what your query looks like in Kagi:
