Right. The architecture we’re talking about right now is a NFS hosted share going to a Kodi instance, not a jellyfin instance sharing to Kodi. Kodi does not transcode. It handles things similarly to VLC afaik.

Ingest podcast feeds, crowdsource hashes of whole and partial sections of the downloaded audio, which should be a good start to auto-tag dynamically inserted ads.
For non-dynamic ads, provide an interface to manually identify their start/end, and publish for others. The same interface could be used to add chapters and other metadata.
Then you’d just point your podcast app to an RSS feed you self host.

Favourite: Steam Deck, hands down. It has totally revolutionised the way I play games. I very often choose to play games on my deck instead of on my far more powerful pc.
Least favourite: Smartphone. The closest I’ve come to having an enjoyable traditional gaming experience on a smartphone was Sky: Children of the Light but even then I was constantly getting frustrated with the touchscreen controls and dealing with my phone getting as hot as the surface of the sun. Its also just not a comfortable shape to hold while you game.
