I’m actually surprised Ohio made it this far without their legislature pulling a fast one and bullshitting their way out of it somehow.
Lots of national businesses have headquarters in Ohio. Even where weed isn’t legal it’s like every other business “can’t find employees” because they refuse to drop thc from their drug tests so now they’re on the brink of collapse. I’m glad but surprised whatever lobbying efforts were probably made weren’t enough.
There is at least one longtime Ohio business that’s very pro-cannabis. The CEO of Scott’s Miracle-Gro has been outspoken about it for years. Of course it’s profitable – they will gladly sell you fertilizer and accessories!
Dang. I read through all the ingredients on the left expecting it to be wrong or off. It’s dead on. Wife can’t have red meat so we use this for her and the ingredients are spot on. Way to be honest with your shit post!!!
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9235150/This study shows meat replacements have less fat and saturated fat and when the meat is salted it is almost always more salty than the replacement.
If you’re not eating a processed plant based meat, so like just having tofu or seitan, you’re better off. But the processed patties are not great like any other processed or deli foods
The article you linked debases the study it is about because the study classifies cookies, wine, beer, chocolate bars and pizza as plant-based and then proves they are bad for you (shocker). While my study compares meat replacements with the meat they are replacing which is what we were discussing.
And still your study declares it is healthier to be vegan:
for every 10 percent increase in consumption of foods that were not ultraprocessed but still plant-based—such as pasta, beans and potatoes—the risk of heart disease fell by 7 percent, and mortality did so by 13 percent.
I wasn’t saying it’s unhealthy to be vegan, I said the processed vegan patty looked disgusting and I stand by it. When you make a patty with ground beef or chickpeas/lentils it’s a much less processed and healthy product. I listed two articles, both which say processed foods are bad, regardless of being vegan
This is something I can’t get my head around… why is fat bad? Why is saturated fat bad? I mean chemically - like trans-fats are totally bad for you because they molecularly bind to nasty stuff that makes you sick, and cholesterol appears “big” and “small”, where the “big” is the good cholesterol.
But less fat in regular products generally means that they added stuff nobody needs, like sugar and ingredients with more syllables than Indians have names.
It’s been an on and off affair for a little while now. I had a lot more free time back when I finished the first two, so I’m kinda struggling to get any meaningful reading done. Honestly, at this point I’d be happy just finishing this one by the end of the year.
It was my favourite of the bunch, although IMO it should’ve been two books instead. But I understand he wanted a trilogy, it being the Three Body Problem and all that.
I’m on the fence between Harris or to abstain. My opinion is that the Democrats are not listening to the people, and by holding hands with the international criminals in Israel, they are alienating progressives massively (no doubt her VP pick is an attempt to win them over). 76 years of pro-Israel policy, and what has it done?
When it comes to economy, Harris is a neoliberal, and rather conservative economically, which I disagree with.
You could try talking to your parents and asking for bunk beds like the other poster said, but unless you explain the attraction they might just say no.
If your parents are reasonable people I bet it can be fixed by telling them “ever since I hit puberty sharing a room with sister has gotten harder, and i really can’t share a bed with her anymore, i cant control parts of my body and it’s super embarrassing and weird.”
I don’t believe he gives much of a shit either way about politics. I think he reacts which ever way he thinks the wind is blowing in order to get more clicks, and thereby, get more money. The only thing I ever saw him get passionate about was when he was going apeshit over Chinese bot-farmers in WoW. I figure Blizzard must have paid him a huge wad to shut him up, because I hardly see him comment on gaming anymore, but I hardly watch him anymore either because he’s just too annoying.
They’re still out there technically, but they get jankier every year. The new UI they released… last year? put the nail in the coffin for a lot of the fancy ones, but there are still options out there to skin your Steam UI.
The new Pocky and Rocky game on switch is the last couch co-op game I played. Co-op is buried away slightly though - you either need to finish the game on single player or enter a cheat code to unlock it. I love all that old school stuff though!
The game itself is arcade perfection with beautiful pixel art.
Next time I build a gaming machine it will be Linux based. 2x GPU’s and I’ll do a IOMMU passthrough to a Windows VM for any games that I still need it for. I have several machines and all but two are linux currently. My recording studio is Windows because I have too much invested in software at this point. And this rig which is my main\gaming pc. And if it wasn’t for some anticheat systems I would wipe this thing right now.
Good luck. My experience with vfio is that it works…ish. There are a lot of compromises still, depending on what kind of setup you really want. I’ve effectively said now that if the game doesn’t work on Linux (which now, like you mentioned, is anti-cheat-related), then it’s not worth playing. Windows Recall was enough to finally break me of this “Windows safety blanket” that I’ve had for 25 years of trying to game on Linux. With Proton and Glorious Eggroll’s ge-proton, everything effectively just works. And one day, all this anti-cheat nonsense will be a thing of the past.
When I was a teen, idk 15 or so, was just walking back to my house from the non-fenced backyard. Noticed my shoe was untied, noticed an old steel dolly nearby. Dolly was laying upside down, tongue up …so I had the great idea to use the extra height of the dolly so I wouldn’t have to bend down all the way…well I learned about levers that day …the top handle came screaming for the top of my head and then I just seen stars while on my but.
