Telorand , to cybersecurity in Mentorship Monday - Discussions for career and learning!

Any recommendations for languages/frameworks that are generally transferrable in QA, such as Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.?

MajorHavoc ,

Robot is pretty great.

I generally try not to use Selenium, outside of Robot, anymore.

Just testing how many checks it makes and on what and where. Not sure what triggers it or where.

Nginx “just works™” had never got into the way, its been rock solid and has not changed significantly over the years.

Why would I need something else?

Frankly in my opinion, bios should only be updatable from the bios itself. No matter which os we talk about, it can always get in the way.

Thank you sane person.

One thing I spend some time on is building out my Lego city.

This about about to spawn so many sidebar threads xD

It's either going to be awesome, or hilarious. Probably both.

Any guesses for how long until the "we've disabled the bot for further testing and review" post? My bet is a month.

whotookkarl , to nostupidquestions in Why are weather apps so bad at telling you the current weather?
@whotookkarl@lemmy.world avatar

NOAA sources are usually good in the US, weather.gov for a quick map and search by zip code or city, but they follow the same % system mentioned as most do

The couple apps/widgets I’ve tried haven’t been good for working with VPN unless I want to know the weather halfway around the world.

Very cool. I would also recommend Wikipedia’s perennial news list as a source: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/…/Perennial_sources

Rooki OP ,
@Rooki@lemmy.world avatar

It will be a little bit difficult to automate fetching that list.

OsrsNeedsF2P ,

Could just hardcode it and let the community voice their opinions on additions/changes

While I think the current method is a great idea, there’s already people complaining

Love this! There are a couple of extensions that do similar around the web but something similar for social circles was missing. Great solution.
