Personally, I use a combination of MagnetDL.com and TorrentGalaxy.to… That gets me back to my search routine for everything I usually found on RARBG… TorrentDownload.info and Torlock.com are solid options as well…
Hopefully when all the smoke clears, RARBG will be able to start up again…
Any specific reason you think they should be backwards? I have only limited exposure to the alternatives, but caddy was the easiest for me to set up when I was looking for a reverse proxy.
My main issue with caddy was having to compile in any extensions manually, but you don’t even need to do that anymore.
Eh, personally I just found NPM super easy to set up and manage, especially when it came to setting up letsencrypt etc. Everything just works. Easy to update, easy to manage, easy to take down and spin back up again. My OP had a bit of snark though, I’m not exactly an expert, I’m sure there are very good reasons why the OP and other smart nerds on this community may disagree
My biggest (only real) gripe with it is the “sit by and watch a civilisation die from something we could prevent inside five minutes without ever being noticed” shtick.
I am not too deep into the scene, but i could imagine that this is not neccessarily desired since every signed release could be linked to them from a forensic and juristic perspective. (in the case they are arrested)
I don’t mind the move, and Lemmy has some nice features, like seeing upvote and downvote count separately. Shedding the downvote bots is also nice. The only thing that stings is losing access to the old Reddit posts there. If Lemmy gonna be the new status quo, the subreddit should be set to read-only instead.
But Bürgeramt is not allowed to share that information with third parties. It will only do so if they try to push criminal charges. Which they supposedly already did to obtain her name in the first place. If that case is closed (and it will most likely be closed at some point), then they are out of luck.
Because of capitalism, no seriously these decisions are based on money and growth. But both of these things are relatively finite. You can't keep have exponential growth year after year. Eventually you will plateau but there isnt a mechanism in capitalism to accept that. So companies start forcing monetary gain.
