As a child, it had to be the last day on holiday in Corfu. We hired a boat and went to a small island. I, knowing best, refused to wear my jelly shoes in the water. Promptly stood on a sea urchin. Being the last day, my parents decided it would be better to fly home and go straight to A&E from the airport to get the spines tweezed out of the sole of my foot.
Ohh, or that time when we went to America, and I wandered out of my depth in the public swimming pool, panicked and started to drown. Thankfully, people noticed and I was rescued! Ambulance came, but luckily I was alright, and didn’t need any treatment.
As an adult, definitely Egypt. Both me and my partner had food poisoning pretty much from day one. That, and the normal stories of leering locals and attempted scams that you always hear about. The sea was amazing though - almost worth the two weeks of a dodgy tummy!
Haven’t really felt the need to. On Linux ad blocking + common sense has worked out fine. When I was still using Windows I just relied on Windows Defender since around the Windows 8.1 days, but either way my time downloading .exe files from sketchy sites is long behind me.
If star trek medical care (which implies star trek economy + society) existed and were THE thing, I would be doing so sorts of cool shit. Like... Just wear a helmet and don't die instantly and you'll be back to normal in a few hours? COUNT ME IN. Shit. I might even become a doctor just to see cool shit knowing that I could actually help people.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation doesn't own factories... They have to pay for manufacturing capacity and thus are limited in that capacity because their boards are built to a very strict cost that they seldom raise.
Aah, that’s what you meant. Yes that makes sense. That said in Jeff Geerling’s interview with Eben Upton, where they spoke about manufacturing and toured the SONY UK factory where the Pis are made, they called out component shortage as the culprit. Specifically the BCM2711’s availability. Of course that’s his word. I don’t know if that factory makes anything else than Pis in volume that competes with it. Maybe it does. 🤷
But even then, it goes down to the manufacturing of that chip. RPi foundation chooses it because it's built to a cost and they cannot afford outbid people for it. So again, manufacturing profits. Whether it's because RPi cannot afford to pay more for those chips to get what they need, or factories are simply de-prioritizing those chips for others that make them more money.
For example, if No Stupid [email protected] tomorrow decides to add a rule “No Post about cats” there are still others you can subscribe to that won’t have that rule
According to the Raspberry Pi tracker, they are becoming available again. You may have to get them as soon as they arrive, but at least it shows they are stocked again
My most played games are Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Pokemon Violet, and now Tears of the Kingdom. And Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but I feel like that one's more of a multiplayer experience. Nothing else comes close to those on the Switch for me and I can recommend all of them.
I doubt it’ll be what you’re imagining, though, because of the licensing requirements for music hosted in a decentralized system. In particular, everything in the fediverse is public, so all music and podcasts hosted in the fediverse has to be licensed under the creative commons, and can’t be gated to paying customers, which does not include most music or podcasts.
Thank you, I will check this out. Yeah I didn’t know if it would work fully like Spotify or some other way as currently, the Fediverse doesn’t have a fully paid way yet.
Everyone has different tastes. My switch almost only has strategy games with Fire Emblem Engage/Three houses, Triangle Strategy and Wargrove. If you like games like that i would either start with Fire Engage if you like character focused games or if you like to do decision on a story then play Tiangle Strategy
I own the game on maybe ps4. Not a fan of open world games so i stopped playing it after few hours. Was maybe not fair to rank this game, but i like more character focus games like typical jrpg’s than western games that are not like that.
