In the future we’ll have flying cars and images will be stored long-term as Dall-E prompts, and will be generated on demand. Future archeologists will never know why people posted so many pictures of cats with weird limbs
I love how the gray one is occupying your lap. Had a little dog who did that and for her, we were at her service. We weren’t holding her, she was sitting on us. You and your fur babies look ver cozy!
Yep, I think you might have highlighted a bug, Certain it is happening in firefox , and is not present on the android app.Have learnt to ignore it , almost always my comment has been added.
Edit yep immediately clicked on comments open new tab and my comment is here where as it is still spinning in the other tab. So probably a bug rather than overload.
Not quite. The truth is, there is no universally recognized grades of leather. But when bragging about quality, genuine leather is the lowest bar they can go (other than bonded leather, which isn’t fully leather but just a veneer over fabric.
Full grain or top grain is generally what you want.
Also, some are concerned about the use of an animal product. The vast majority of leather is a byproduct of the beef industry. It is skin that would otherwise go to waste. And it is also far more environmentally friendly a material than many alternatives, which are often made of plastics.
Yeah, honestly you should buy leather products based on brands than on description of “genuine” leather.
And agree, real leather is a much better alternative to the ridiculous amount of micro-plastic synthetic leather generates, especially since it’ll last you decades if you maintain it well.
It’s already explained why we made it but we chose Matrix because it’s already linked to the Fediverse, and also I was following the head mods orders. 😅
yes, you can configure a tcp tunnel for a direct connection to a server from games, or use http tunnels to use a utility service server as a website without port forwarding
Sorry, i really should have been more specific. I would like to make my torrent client connectable using ngrok, but not sure if there is a torrent client that would make this possible. Thanks for the link though it is still useful!
Alright, my bad didn’t read through entirely, so you can use qbittorrent for this, and qbittorrent-nox on linux.
You enable the remote web access (called Web UI in settings for the gui version and enabled by default in qbit nox on linux) for qbittorrent and it runs on port 8080 by default. You can then use ngrok to make a http tunnel to localhost:8080 and you’re good to go.
Except for a few specific cases, indo not enjoy them at all… Oat milk is okay if the milk is not a major player in taste. Coconut milk is good if you want a coconutty taste.
I tried Vault warden, but I didn’t find it better than KeePass which I have syncing over nextcloud to storage that is mounted over NFS for my desktop and laptop. There are plenty of clients so you can use windows, linux, android etc.
I ran Keepass synced through my Nextcloud for a long time as well, but I switched to Vaultwarden after loosing Passwords due to sync issues. Almost got locked out of an important account. Luckily I noticed it early enough to recover it through my Nextcloud’s versioning. But since then I’m too paranoid to rely on a password manager without a reliable syncing mechanism built-in if I’m gonna use it daily on a range of different devices.
I use vaultwarden as my bitwarden backup. I pay for bitwarden premium because it's too critical of a service for me to not pay for access/support the service, or to expect my self hosted option will be sufficiently reliable enough.
That said, as a backup option, I run the vaultwarden addon in home assistant and just periodically do a manual export from bitwarden and import to vaultwarden. This is usually good enough for me, but glad to see this thread with some other options. Will be exploring some of these too!
Oooh, I like this idea… I’ve thought about running vaultwarden but like you I pay for bitwarden premium because I think it’s critical for me and I like the service and want to see them continue. Using it as a backup, then I can still support them and run my own backup.
