It is effective and efficient, just not for the consumer.

This is awesome - what other things could be made?

A crown fit for a tiny king would be cool. Or something that adds a face and googly eyes

GraniteM ,

A hat shaped like a tiny sea urchin, who is wearing an even smaller hat.

Kongar ,

Mine has a traffic cone he likes to wear. That’s my favorite as it’s usually crooked and makes it even more ridiculous :)

flames5123 ,

I need pictures STAT!

Kongar ,

Here you go! Lots of urchin hats! Enjoy!

flames5123 ,

I love it!! Thanks so much for the fun pictures!

Kongar ,

I like the bubble algae hat - looks like a bad toupee :)

Sometimes he rips up strips of hair algae and it looks like a green Mohawk :)

Sometimes he rips up my corals and uses them as hats - that’s not funny. It’s annoying :/

Seleni ,

I love him rocking four hats at once!

Change your password to a randomly generated password and them setup 2FA

Do not click on anything in the emails as they may be phishing attempts

intensely_human ,

Just to be clear, change your password by manually typing in the address of the service in question.

Do not use the link in the email to navigate to the service for password changing.

This hurts my brain, are yoy able to explain what the fuck is going on

partmussels ,

The gif is kinda misleading. The volume of the chocolate shrinks when you do this trick. You can actually notice some is missing. Mostly because it’s cut in a weird way

WolfLink ,

Some of the pieces are growing, but it’s cut at an angle so the growing is spread over a large area, and the growing happens as pieces are moving around, making it hard to notice.

(Specifically it’s the pieces 2 and 3 wide with an angled cut on the bottom that grow).

Zoot ,
@Zoot@reddthat.com avatar

This is what I had assumed was happening, its just done in such a good way that it can really make you shake your head.

PC gaming has become cheaper than console gaming.

But MMOs made me a PC gamer. RuneScape and WoW.

terminal , to asklemmy in What email provider do you use? Would you recommend it?

Mxroute with thunderbird as a client and mail on iOS for mobile.

Unlimited domains and rock solid. Just don’t expect lots of hand holding the company focuses on making email work you have to sort out your own details. That being said they have good documentation.

TurdMongler ,

2nd Mxroute. I got the black Friday deal a few years ago. I love using the catchall to make emails on the fly for when I sign up for different services.

terminal ,

I do exactly the same thing. Some more spam from time to time but usually thunderbird catches that for me.

Magister , to linux in What is something you want to use, yet are NOT using?
@Magister@lemmy.world avatar

docker I guess, I still don’t know how it works, create them, etc

kionite231 ,

You don’t have to know how it works in order to use it. I don’t know either but I could host services using docker. trust me it’s way easier than it seems.

warmaster ,

Same here. Even easier if you use an app to manage it for you like dockge, portainer, Cosmos, etc.

IronKrill ,

You don’t have to… if the project you want to use has a good setup process. Otherwise you’ll be scouring Docker docs, GitHub issues, and StackOverflow for years.

And then when to do learn it, it pisses you off when something doesn’t have a freely available image.

How to docker-compose in thirty seconds.

Simply make a file called

compose.yaml

Then paste in the text from your application’s docker-compose instructions.

Often the timezone needs to be set, along with the volume

Example:

volume: /mnt/hdd/data:/data

This means the application’s data directory will be mounted at /mnt/hdd/data

Then

docker compose up -d

You’re done, that’s all there is.

docker-compose is fantastic because in a single compose.yaml file you can list multiple services.

For example, my compose.yaml file contains my sonarr/radarr/bazarr/lidarr/prowlarr/qbittorrent/deemix/jellyfish/jellyseerr

And I can update them all by running a shell script made of three lines.

zeekaran ,

Docker compose is amazing. I don’t even know how many things I’m running right now. Hell I’m running things I didn’t even use! (I could easily disable or delete them; I’m just lazy)

@TimLovesTech@badatbeing.social avatar

I listen to predominantly jam bands, hip hop, and rock/metal from 60’s - 90’s. I think jam band stuff is really the only music that I listen to newer than the 90’s though. I do like a bit of jamtronica kinda stuff from time to time though, and have no idea what half of what you listed even is (ugh I’m old).

SkaveRat , to asklemmy in TV nerds: what should I watch

The Good Place.

Be warned, that you should watch this one without much research. If you like the first episode, you’ll love the show.

One of the very few shows where each and every season is consistently great. Super funny and had a satisfying ending, instead of the usual clifferhanger-because-of-cancellation ending

Glide ,

Came here to post this as well.

Just watch the first episode or two, and if it doesn’t have you hooked, it’s not your jam anyway.

But it will have you hooked, because it’s the best piece of American television in recent history.

theComposer ,

Normally I’d agree with that advice, but it took me the whole first season to get hooked by the show. After about 5 episodes I was ready to call it quits, but my partner who had seen it told me to keep watching, and they were right! Loved every minute of it from then on.

Bldck ,

On my fifth rewatch right now. Just started S2

Trollivier ,

I highly recommend The Good Place. It’s my comfort show.
