Not much, honestly. One night this year, my friends and I planned on going to a bar to welcome back a buddy who we hadn’t seen in a long time. Something happened, can’t remember what, and we had to go to someone’s place instead to celebrate.
Later in the evening we saw on the news that the bar had been shot up, and plenty were dead. Bar was shut down soon after. It had a good crowd, wasn’t too noisy, the food wasn’t that bad, and prices were cheaper than other places in the city. My guess is that it was a money laundering scheme and someone would benefit from having it being shut down, because I didn’t hear anything about anyone important being there at the moment as if to imply it was a hit.
We know that decoupling growth and fossil fuel is possible. The US and EU has had declining fossil emissions since the 2000s yet still achieved growth, also if you include outsourced emission.
It can be done.
Whether it’s done in time, or without large scale impact, is another question. But it’s possible.
I tried to do this before, but it did not work out.
I couldn’t make the meta key alone open overview. I also tried to add a dock there, but I can only have a panel when not in overview, which is the opposite of that I wanted. I also liked the notification menu and the quick toggles menu in top right corner.
I have been planning to get into plasma extension development to fix some of these issues.
This: Fennec has better security configuration than Firefox about:config settings in regards to telemetry and whatnot.
Mull is also great! Even more secure and better at stopping phoning home, telemetry, and fingerprinting. Though, Mull tends to break quite a few websites. I use Mull, and switch to Fennec selectively when Mull doesn’t work
Watching TOS reruns and the movies with my dad on Sunday afternoons when I was a child. Soon afterwards followed by TNG with my older brother. Then VOY was released when I was about 9 years old and that got me hooked for good. For some odd reason, I completely missed out on DS9 until much later in life - I started watching it in my early 20s. Once I watched that, I did a full rewatch of every show of the franchise, including TAS and I still don’t know what to think of it. :D Long story short, Star Trek made me a much better person and had a huge impact on me very early in life.
