I run basically all of the Arr stack, Plex (more friendly to my less tech savvy family then my preferred solution Jellyfin), HAss, Frigate NVR, Obsidian LiveSync, a few Minecraft worlds, Docspell, Tandoor recipes, gitea, Nextcloud, FoundryVTT, an internet radio station, syncthing, Wireguard, ntfy, calibre, searx, traefik, Wallabag, FreshRSS, Kopia, Navidrome, and a few pet projects.
Hi. I am the mod who removed your initial post. Frankly, It didn’t fit the content of this sub. Allowing it to stay would set a bad precedent for future posts. There has to be quality control in a place. As Aer said below, we want to keep a light hearted atmosphere around here.
Positive momentum doesn’t factor for posts that do not fit. If anything, it only encourages sooner action because leaving it up will have more people making similar posts.
I stand by my decision to remove your post. I hope you understand. There’s other places where you can post it.
That’s fine, I’m absolutely OK with that decision. It would have been nice to have some sort of notification of the mod action that I could see and access from Jerboa to prevent confusion, and I’m now aware that it’s a limitation or oversight of the current state of development of the fediverse.
It just would have just been nice if all this information was made more readily available rather than having to go through having a post removed and left in the dark as a new user.
There’s really no real reason to stay loyal to a brand when you’re using Android. If you like a particular OEM’s UI or a feature they provide, good for you! If not, then there’s literally no reason not to switch brands. It’s not like your apps won’t work or your contacts won’t move over.
No, I’m using it’s FTP based triggers. Since most cameras can upload snapshots to FTP servers when there’s motion, Shinobi has a feature to trigger motion with FTP.
I’ve only had Oneplus or Samsung for the last decade, used to love the quirks of the former and love the extra features like EdgePanels and GoodLock on the latter.
In the coming months I am hoping to get a Zenphone 10 assuming it works okay on TMobile in the US
I personally have no loyalties and will go wherever the good deals and specs are! That’s currently with the S23 Ultra thanks to a ridiculously good trade-in promo, but I’ve previously used LG, Sony, OnePlus, Motorola, Nexus, Pixel, and HTC devices. With that said, I also don’t often feel as much of a need to upgrade anymore, unless someone in the family needs a hand-me-down.
