It doesn’t freeze here too often, but when it’s going to we’ll go outside and set our faucets to drip to prevent freezing. I just have to remember to do this, and I worry that I’ll forget. Do those faucet covers work? Any other options?
Use cases would be regions where wifi is unreliable, on road trips or flights, etc....
Hello everyone, I’ve been using linux on my main system for the past few years and am very happy with the results. From repurposing old family laptops to give them new life, to being able to play triple A games with little to no issues, Linux has turned into my OS of choice....

Hello everyone!...
This is a honest question. I have two RSS services hosted on my server, and I don’t see the point. RSS is by nature distributed, and subscribing to my own server just makes the source of all news being the same. What is the advantage? What do people use it for?
Built a small machine using an Asrock N100DC-ITX motherboard, it has an Intel N100 built in and I also have 1x NVMe and 2x HDDs. The board has a DC Jack so no external PSU....
It’s friday, so lets try to end the week in a positive note with a laugh....
My question is basically the title. I’m making my own Puppy Linux remaster and it already has a .PDF reader for it that is very small. I think it’s called Evince? It has a native GTK UI and starts in a second, uses very little RAM and CPU. Now I need a .EPUB reader. I’ve seen a couple different .EPUB reader apps out there...
I picked up a bunch of unflavored instant ramen packets with the intention of making my own. I’m a big fan of Korean Ramyun packs and make them often, but they are getting pricy nowadays. Does anyone else in c/cooking do this as well? What are your favorite quick broth recipes?
The keyboard will connect to the computer, so can’t the mouse piggy back on that wire by plugging in through the keyboard?...
Hey all!...
Nothing makes sense. It’s been oversimplified to the point where it’s been dumbed down to its core.
Dear Linux gaming community,...
I can handle the software part. I just want some ideas on how I can change the keys via a cheap and less-effort method. It is not a Peripheral keyboard, just the one integrated with my laptop....
Maybe this is a thing and I’ve been buying cheap rain jackets....
rather than this stupid fucking snip snap game where, instead of, as a user being able to buy into a company that’s building a massive, marvelous, library-of-alexandria-core archive of every good show ever made, you’re paying into some shitty ephemeral bullshit made by stupid greedy dickheads who have no fucking sense
So I recently found out that I have sh*t my leg… I was about to set up unraid but just before dipping my toes I was told that the parity drive needs to be the same or larger in size, really wish I had done more thorough reseach before recently buying that 10TB HDD hehe…...
Hi, I was never really into Thouhou, but Bad Apple and others were so much bangers and i’ve listened to them for year....
Given that all of them are all powered hubs so power won’t be the issue and you have enough space to put them. How much will it impact performance, latency or other things I don’t know about? Or it will straight up kill the port if there are too many hubs?
Hello guys....
And if so, how much? Less, same or more than if it was actually charging something?...
Howdy, folks! Doing X11 forwarding over ssh has been my go to way to access graphical applications on my headless server. With X11 being deprecated with its many security issues, I was slightly bummed since I thought I’d have to setup VNC or RDP....
