Good, death is an escape from punishment. If you want someone to suffer for their crimes, keep them alive and miserable in jail. The only hell is the one we live in now.
In general I agree, but the existence of the death penalty at all is not rehab or restitution, but to cause suffering. I don’t believe in eye for an eye, but if the goal is punishment, death is only an escape from punishment, whereas keeping them alive and in jail for as long as possible is to me way more of a punishment.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor, which deals with graft allegations against high-level officials, announced that it had arrested and was questioning Ms Dappah for “suspected corruption and corruption-related offences regarding large amounts of money and other valuable items reportedly stolen from her residence”.
The article does not say what they could do to prevent conscription, or if they can do anything in the first place.
Besides, them not pulling out is really not as consequential as it might seem. The Russian government has taken over many of the brands that have pulled out with the consequence that even more of the earnings of the factories in question go to the government. So, while I agree that them staying shows greed, it would not change shit if they left.
Parking in the city center of Amsterdam will cost you more than 60 euro for a full day. But if you park at the edge of the city, close to the highway exit and next to a metro station, it will cost you 1 euro.

Lucky I just hit Amsterdam up on a Iceland/Norway cruise in June. It’s a beautiful city and port and will be missed. There are not too many cruise ports that are in the heart of the city.
