Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.
Edit: I was able to run some benchmark tests, so I don’t need help with this anymore, but after running the tests, I’m pretty sure my computer is having hardware issues. I don’t really have any other options, though, so I just have to deal with it....

Why YSK: you can recreate the old Reddit experience by using this frontend for those who have always used old.reddit. It also gives a nostalgic feel, is more efficent, and loads faster than the Lemmy interface....

I’ve replaced my old laptop with a new one and I have over 350GB worth of data to move over, moving all of it to an external drive and then moving them to the new laptop doesn’t seem efficient and it seems like it’s gonna take forever...
How will Lemmy handle illegal content like drug dealing, child porn, snuff movies etc? On Reddit, the corporation is accountable so they will make an effort to ensure non of this exists on their platform. And they would face legal troubles if they failed to act....

tl;dr: after pushing rcs so hard for years, killing hangouts well after forgetting about it, & hiding it from gmail, google now wants you to use its (and google allo's) successor, google chat.
