The title is shit and confusing, so let me explain....

70 billion dollars and what really do they have to show for it?...

So i still have depression and im constantly bored, i feel like a loser who cant do anything right. I want to let my creativeness out, make something i can share with the world or family, but im probably dreaming too big. I cant stand being depressed and bored, it stinks, everyone tells me to work out but i lack the motivation...

Given that language is an important lens through which we see the world, AI could subtly alter our perceptions and beliefs over the coming years, decades, and centuries.

E.g. If I were to share an image of a doggo on lemmy.world and then people from sh.itjust.works upvote it, will it count those upvotes? The answer to this one seems pretty easy to reason that it would be yes....

There was a post asking people their opinions about Edge and many people seemed to liked the idea of Edge and seemed to be ok having it on Linux (Blasphemy)...

Suppose there are two employees: Alice and Bob, who do the same job at the same factory. Alice has a 10 minute (20RT) commute, Bob commutes 35 minutes(70RT)....

Now, I really like Wayland, and it’s definitely better than the mess that is X11...

I also had no idea the top portion of the Starship Enterprise could separate like that. That was pretty sweet.

I was looking for a place to share my two favorite Mastodon and Lemmy clients, they are called Voyager Connect Boost for Lemmy and Moshidon for Mastodon (if you are really serious about privacy I recommend Connect still) (the official Mastodon app works fine though, you just can’t follow new hashtags from it)...

If not, how much would you counteroffer?...

Drove hundreds of miles through some very rural New England, USA today. Most areas were very nice with well kept homes and cute, small city centers (mostly only a couple of brick, commercial buildings)....

I know we pretty much all hated spez for all the shit he pulled, but a few weeks ago the tone towards reddit itself around here was more neutral. People liked it here on Lemmy a lot better, but people weren’t hating on the old place so much....

Sometimes I’m at the doctor’s office, at the library, or even at the grocery store and see an unused power outlet. My phone is dying. I feel weird plugging in, but I feel even weirder asking for permission.

I’m trying to build a sublemmy (BeWowed) based on r/Damnthat’s intresting and r/BeAmazed material that I have accumulated over the years but i need to host all the videos on imgur. Will lemmy be able to host videos? Do you have better alternatives than imgur? Thanks!
