I understand that the Romans were unable to conquer Scotland so they build Hadrian’s Wall (which explains the survival of older cultures there). But as far as I know they occupied Wales and Cornwall, so how is it that the Celtic culture (language etc.) survived in those places?

Over the past week or two, I’ve been discussing merging this community with c/world. The intents and purposes of both of these communities are essentially the same, and we don’t really see a reason to divide that community rather than just put it all under one roof....
My system keeps booting into the live image of Pop!_OS 22.04 rather than my encrypted partition. I ran boot-repair-disk but the system keeps going to the install image. I verified that the bios is pointing to the correct disk at boot and I verified that my data is still in the encrypted partition....
I would love the child of a Surfacebook with a Framework laptop; or A bare keyboard attached to a screen, that I could plug my phone (possibly running Phosh) and use it as a hardware for a laptop experience

Wouldn’t grow something from the inside require a very strong force to “move” the already present one? Instead growing from the last “layer” towards the outside would require a lot less force, but perhaps a lot more matter....
