If you have it installed on iPhone, thats fair, i have it, to promote lemmy, but please just turn “allow tracking” of in settings, so they cant make money from the data thet collect, also background refresh, because I’m pretty sure that also allows them to get a bit of data from you

It's a really fun time to self-host today

I’ve never had so much fun self-hosting. A decade or so ago I was hosting things on Linode and running all kinds of servers for myself but with the rise of cloud services, I favored just giving everything to Google. Selfhosted alternatives to ngrok, localtunnels, etc?

Due to having to expose local developments (in progress) publicly to interact with other third party services or to show them to other programmers I usually use ngrok in the free tier… Which is an absolute mess because it changes the URL on each command (nevertheless it works out of the box and very fast)…...
