I am desperate to discuss this game, it’s possibly one of my top 3 Final Fantasy games....

A recent post here about 4th July sales has made me consider buying a VPS but the cost still seems a little steep. What are the main advantages of using a VPS?

I was thinking it would be nice to have for backups, but maybe even going as far as mounting ~/home to be able to run from multiple machines. I’m really asking where to get started looking without crashing into marketing department nonsense and search engine steering bias.

Since usernames are only unique to the instance it’s created on, what’s to stop someone from creating a copycat username in order to impersonate another user?

People who don’t care that they are being spied on/ having their data harvested by facebook, instagram, whatsapp, google, amazon, oracle etc… are the same ones who pirate without a vpn or i2p. I can’t stand this “so what if they have my data?” attitude. You ask anyone if they would feel comfortable leaving their car...

Hab die App eben runtergeladen. Sieht gut aus, feddit-Anmeldung klappte binnen Sekunden, sieht auch auf dem IPad klasse aus. Nur zum kommentieren bin ich wohl zu blöd, keine Ahung wie man das dort macht.

Why YSK: On Zalando you can find lots of products from popular brands for crazy cheap compared to physical stores. There are new sales everyday and it’s a great way to either buy something cheap or high quality products for a fraction of their cost....

I’ve gotten so tired of the non-stop reddit/lemmy/mastodon/threads drama I pulled the plug on all recurring donations for the foreseeable future. Thanks to threads the fedverse is starting the reddit style drama cycles and I’m pretty much over trying to sort through it....

If not, how do we get one going? I’m new to Lemmy and /r/FreeGameFindings + /r/AppLab are the top subs that I would want to see recreated here!

Why YSK: it doesn't matter how original you might think you are, they have heard them before. Numerous times in fact. If you're in the habit of making name-based jokes as soon as you meet someone you should stop. At best you're mildly annoying the person, at worst you're preventing what could have been a great friendship before...
