@lxskllr I re-watched "Balance of Terror" after watching SNW's "A Quality of Mercy". I really like how they incorporated the former into the alternate universe take on it.

I think they also did some retcon cleanup on some of the minor details.

Watching the same show over-and-over again is one way I regulate the autistic side of my brain. But the ADHD side sure gets bored sometimes.

Also, I used to re-watch Law & Order: Criminal Intent, though lost some interest when Det. Goren wasn't the detective for an episode or series.

As much as I hate how much money I spend eating out on a regular basis, I can't deny that it really does help prevent meltdowns...

Everything went wrong with our grocery trip this evening, from overstimulation to the car not starting again. Meltdowns. And then to have to come home and have to cook after that... 😩

I'm starving but my nervous system is so out of whack that this food probably won't even feel satisfying.

@spika Going to the store over the past year has been a toss-up when it comes to overstimulation, be it from smells from the cleaning/laundry/meat section, to sounds of people banging or chucking stuff into their carts, or people simply not respecting personal space.

Noise cancelling headphones or ear buds can only do so much re: noise, even in ambient or transparent mode.
