mesamunefire , to fediverse in Canvas.toast.ooo is the Lemmyverse r/place! Going on right now!

When I tried to sign up, it stated it sent me a code. But I’m not seeing any code?

mesamunefire OP , to linux_gaming in Linux overtakes macOS users on Steam thanks to Steam Deck

I’ve had a terrible time with them. The laptops all have the same issue with the hinges.

mesamunefire , to technology in Say hello to longlife tech that can challenge our throwaway culture

I can’t wait to get one in the us soon. But I’ll hang onto my current phone for as long as I can before hand. Best way to conserve is to use what you have ATM.

mesamunefire , to selfhosted in RSS feeds

I have a collection of about 60 ish rss feeds on my NextCloud instance. Some that come to mind:

  1. Hackaday-It’s great but might take over your feed.
  2. n-o-d-e.net/rss/rss.xml node is awesome. Lots of great designs and tech related content.
  3. charity.wtf has a good feed. Lots of great software developer and project management articles.

I have a lot more but I’m on my phone.

mesamunefire , to technology in Reddit protests see r/Place experiment immediately hijacked with grotesque graffiti

There’s sites that do it. Heck we could probably do it just by spamming a link.

Peertube works.

Did they ever fix the internal clock battery issue?

mesamunefire , to technology in TIL there is an fediverse alternative to Discord

Same. We had three developers try to make it work for a local makerspace and we failed. The default instructions are too complex ATM. I want to make it work sometime but that experience makes me want to wait. I only have so many weekends.

IRC is still a thing.

mesamunefire OP , to linux_gaming in CodeWeavers blog about their Linux / Steam Deck work on Proton with PooShooter

I had a very similar reaction. It’s just funny that a proton fix was because of this game haha.

mesamunefire , to linux in What Are Your Favorite SBCs (Single Board Computers), Why, and How Did You Get Into Them?

I was lucky enough to get a 4 before the supply issues. I wish I could get any replacements.

Nowadays I just buy thin clients and pay the 40-50$ premium for projects. Better then than waiting for a pi.

You can also subscribe to communities on lemmy to mastodon, subscribe to peertube channels, and via versa. It’s pretty cool!
