Oh, US justice™ sees color, that’s for sure.

@littlebluespark@lemmy.world avatar

It’s likely both: battered first and then crumbed, to more resemble a fried chicken process.

NGL, that fish looks damn tasty, but the plating is crowded AF and undressed & uncut frisee isn’t slaw. Overall, it seems like someone who knows how to make some killer fried fish turned on a random cooking show once or twice for inspiration and figured that was enough of a glow-up. 😶

I’m not sure what your comment was trying to clarify, as it would be somewhat more forgivable if this dish were the product of an amateur trying new things, but it’s clearly at a restaurant and presumably OP paid for this entree. So, therefore, no one from menu creation to order execution had a sufficiently critical comment on this half-assed jumble of ideas crowding a seemingly well-crafted pair of fried fish portions.

To sum up: the fries should be arranged for height in the center of the plate, with the lemon wedges on the flat outer plane of it ~11 or 2 o’clock (the sauces taking the other position, regardless) and the slaw could be nestled between them and the bottom edge of the fries. This way, not only do the side (slaw), garnish (lemons), and sauces not crowd the plate or the guest’s access to the meal, but the fish can be proudly presented as the real gem of the dish.

That parent there has a sticker in something worse than comic sans and random capitalizations, and they seem to expect us to believe their kid is the asshole? I’m reading it more like the kid is getting cues from them but hasn’t made the full conversion yet.

How do I get my suit tailored?

I bought a cheap suit with the intention of making it look good through tailoring, but I don’t know how to actually get that done. The local stores don’t have websites and haven’t picked up when I called, should I just walk in with the suit? Do I need an appointment? Also, how much should I expect to pay? (California)...

TBF, the shoes and the belt are simpler than you might assume, though there are aspects that you do not want to skimp on with the shoes. For the belt, just be sure to match black or brown to the tone of the suit (and the same with the shoes; belt and shoes should be the same color, traditionally).

The shoes, and this is clutch, should be comfortable and insoles are your friend there, so dropping $20+ on a pair of supportive insoles will save you hours of discomfort if you’re planning on wearing those shoes during the whole workday. Lastly, you can generally find understated-yet-fashionable formal footwear on Alibaba for super cheap — as a stop-gap until you can afford to shop around.

Feel free to reply or DM, I’m happy to help any way I can, neighbor. 🤓🤘🏽

Love it! I enjoy similar ensembles myself, in fact! I’d say that black/dark shoes and matching belt would be the easiest start, and branching out from there into warmer tones that support/echo hues in the chosen shirt — best if similar is done with other accessories, too (eyeglasses, jewelry, pocket squares, shoe laces, belt buckle, etc ) and you’ll be turning heads & hearts in no time! 🤩✨

Apples & oranges, to be fair. You can’t compare a cream process with a simple fat process, especially when the latter is a minimalist approach and the former is recognized almost solely by its presentation. All due respect, but the critique sounds more like a preference, underneath. I hope you try this recipe again and pull from the constructive advice elsewhere in this thread. Good luck! Have fun!

Not to mention, his age is statistically unlikely to be related to his mortality, considering his disgustingly unhealthy lifestyle and diet. It’s a wonder that shitbag hasn’t already sprung an irreparable leak. 🤮☠️👀

Yes, that’s a part of what I was talking about.

Tiiiiny nitpick: overland camo is, well, land colored. Marine camo is ocean colored. Basically, whatever color would be below the hardware when an enemy viewed it is the theme you want. For instance, ocean camo overland? Ain’t camouflage, now is it?

I can only hope that HOTAS mods will be a thing for this, but even without that level of complexity and control, this seems like a lot of fun!

Panthers are NOT “always black”, as the title of this post and the crux of the linked article state. The condition is “the opposite of albinism”, which implies similar rarity — not a constant. 😶

A cougar is not worth a human life

Agree to disagree. I can name half a dozen off the top of my head worth a fraction of a cougar’s life and their removal from this timeline’d immediately improve humanity on a global scale.
