Derry Girls is excellent. It’s part sitcom, part Irish culture, part history lesson. Great characters.

I get annoyed by that guy, I guess the joke is he is needlessly cruel to the son-in-law but it gets old. Don’t let that put you off the show though, that is 1% of an otherwise excellent show.

Yeah my best friend was JW and it messed him up a bit. He got out of the church as soon as he could manage. I don’t think it was terribly abusive or anything and there were some nice people in their church, but they were strict on the rules and shunning. His parents did sidestep the no Christmas/birthday restriction by celebrating their wedding anniversary and giving the kids presents on that occasion.

Well that seems like an opportunity for improvement. Disconnect Israeli power, food, and water supplies and connect Palestinian power, food, and water. Would be a good use of humanitarian funds.
