Yeah, but we all knew what he meant and didn’t feel like being a pedantic asshole about it.

So he has that going, anyway.

Your original comment was fine. It was the second one that got you into trouble.

Thought you clowns stayed on Shitter.

I can confirm this. I signed up for the free trial of YT Premium (which I immediately cancelled, but I’ll take the three months) but YT seems to be detecting that I’m on Firefox and have Ublock installed, so I’m getting the occasional 5 second forced delay, even though I’m a premium user. (They may not count the trial as being a “true” premium user, I’d suspect.)

We watched the aftermath of the Columbine shooting on one of these. Our school was one of the middle schools that fed into Columbine, and you could pick if you wanted to go to Columbine or Chatfield. A lot of my classmates went to Columbine the year after it happened.

I was in high school when 9/11 happened (I chose Chatfield) but we had TVs in most classrooms there. So, sure enough, almost every TV in that school was turned to a news network on that day. Matt Dahl, the son of one of the pilots of Flight 93, went there as well.

Turns out hitting the music festival was a terrible idea, because it absolutely turned everyone against them.

Ah, the ol’ “the anti-bigots are the real bigots” response? Is that where we are now?

I have mixed feelings about Smash Mouth. On the one hand, they’ve been my guilty music pleasure since high school.

On the other, Harwell never quite recovered from his son’s death and became a shitty human being, between the throwing out nazi salutes and him and Greg Camp being anti-vaxxers. It’s just a damn shame all around, but I’m still sorry to see him go out this way.

Yeah, he had issues for sure. But I always held out hope that he’d turn it around.

What the fuck are you doing, LTT? Go get the fucking prototype back and return it.

This. I’ve been using Jerboa ever since making the switch to Lemmy. There wasn’t much of a learning curve and it basically does what I want, so I’m happy with it.

There’s some slight functionality differences and maybe some customization: for example, Relay had swipe controls which were pretty nice.

At least for me, Mastodon replaced Twitter and Lemmy replaced Reddit. But then, I’m not “normal” and find the Fediverse to be endlessly fascinating.

As stated here, the Springs are moving left. It’s Weld county that appears to be the new Conservative bastion here, but even that is starting to weaken.

Mozilla Thunderbird can connect to IRC servers as a chat client. Just sayin’.

Edit: got downvoted for some reason, so clarified.

Noncredibledefense is what happens when the world’s alleged second strongest military invades its neighbor, completely screws the pooch, gets its shit pushed in, and struggles to hold its gains while the world watches and makes memes about it.

I get the same sense. It has somewhat of a nostalgic “we’re all in this together” feeling that using the internet in the mid/late-90’s had, and the updoots appear to be a side-effect of that.

Another vote for Bitwarden. I love it and recommend it to everyone.

I deleted a few weeks ago. I never left any personally identifiable comments, but I do miss the platform. It’s a shame what greed does to people.

Loyal FF user since 2017 or so. Loving Thunderbird’s renaissance, too.

It’s still around, and has undergone some… renewed interest. It’s super slick now, and they’re working on bringing a version of it to android (using K-9 Mail as a base.)
