@MirrorAyako @allstartrek I feel like she was extremely forgiving with him in the first season or two (comes with the 300+ years of life experience, I assume). He kinda acted like a teenager around her. Like, I get it, but damn, down boy.

He kinda calmed down a bit once he started dating O'Brien and Garak. Dating's the right word to use there, right?

Between Majel Roddenberry's appearance as Lwaxana Troi and the relatively major role the DS9 computer had in this story, she pulled double duty for this episode.

@spatula_tattoo @petertrek1 @allstartrek That is correct, I don't think she ever talked to herself on DS9, only on TNG. Interestingly, she was overly polite to the Enterprise computer but the opposite when talking to the station's computer.

It's interesting to see how O'Brien and Bashir were more acquaintances rather than friends at this early stage of the show. Their friendship would evolve and develop later.

@MirrorAyako @ColesStreetPothole @allstartrek Yeah, he was just starting out and trying to learn and develop a new character and oh, hey, play a character pretending to be your new character until he reveals himself dramatically. Not everyone can be Brent Spiner or Jeri Ryan, able to come up with convincing one-off characters at a moment's notice.
