you should see how many of these big servers were (and still are) running their instances as ‘root’…

I specifically stopped trying to grow my instance to focus on security and sysadmin back-end administrative infrastructure.

Decided to point that domain at some dell R720xd/R730xd boxes I picked up and setup a whole new entry into the fediverse, along with a number of other things for our users.

currently, I selfhost beyondcombustion.net and now lemmy.beyondcombustion.net for /r/vaporents and hopefully others. There’s other stuff I self host too, this is the fun new stuff though.
