I can’t wrap my head around how some believe that physical punishment of a child is ok in any circumstances. At school, at home, anywhere. Doesn’t matter. Don’t hit children.

It’s extremely primitive, and you’ve only shown your own desperation and inability to handle the situation. Find a better solution.

To me, the biggest positive about remote work is that you don’t have to live in a crazy expensive location. That advantage is mostly gone with hybrid where you still have to come in every week.

Also, companies benefit from having employees in less expensive locales having lower salaries but still being able to pay more than what the employee would otherwise make in that location. Good way to retain talent.

I find it absurd that evangelicals support Trump so hard. A man who is quite literally the exact opposite of what they are asked to be in scripture. He throws them a couple of pieces of red meat and they dive on it. How sad.

Definitely agree. This has pretty much completely restored the reddit experience for me after I chose to delete my reddit account in the wake of reddit’s third-party app debacle. The Sync developer deserves major props. This app will surely make lemmy so much more attractive and accessible to a host of new users in the coming weeks and months.
