He looks like the good kind of trouble.

Give ‘em some scritches and belly rubs for me?

FuglyDuck , to technology in Musk says a 50% drop in ad revenue for Twitter is causing negative cash flow
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Musk didn’t buy Twitter to make a profit.

He bought Twitter to control the conversation.

FuglyDuck , to nostupidquestions in Why people can't handle the truth?
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Yup. I was going to be a pastor until, at college for it… some LGBTQ protests came to campus (late 2k’s) and saw people being down right hateful. And everyone else being okay with that.

Made me realize…. I was an asshole. I didn’t want to be an asshole.

FuglyDuck , to technology in U.S. to decide soon on GM's request to deploy cars without steering wheels

It’s not. It absolutely is not

While I never believed in YE creationism… i did a become a better person when I turned apostate.

A substantially better person, if I’m being honest.

FuglyDuck , to world in Putin says he tried but failed to oust Prigozhin after Wagner mutiny
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

It rather sounds like he needs Wagner and they have no idea what they’re doing.

Ironically, they’re mercenaries. Just offer them more than their current boss. (Not sure how much more, but everyone has their price and i doubt mercs are the most loyal. Though I also doubt they’re very eager to work with some one who tried to bomb them…)

FuglyDuck , to technology in A Rivian owner was in a fender bender. The repair bill was $42,000.
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

EV’s have a much smaller pool of people qualified to repair them.

but also, one of the reasons I’m not buying a tesla or a rivian is because a “traditional” car maker would have known about repair-ability and made plans to simply things. the lack of automotive experience is telling, especially in Tesla’s.

FuglyDuck , to technology in Microsoft takes pains to obscure role in 0-days that caused email breach
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

“It looks like you’re attempting to delete incriminating files. Perhaps you meant to email them to the FBI instead” would be hilarious. Clippy was a bastard.

FuglyDuck , to technology in The FTC Gets Steamrolled Again, Can’t Pause The Microsoft Activision Deal Before Appeal
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Yes. it is bad for the consumer.

Microsoft is the company that started the whole Embrace, Extend and Extinguish thing to get where it is. Activision aren’t exactly saints either.

basically, what the merger is going to allow them to do is continue to produce subpar games and focus instead on just getting rid of the competition rather than producing decent games. neither studio really has had any new IP. Neither has done anything really innovative in the space.

FuglyDuck , to aww in This is Rook
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

that’s clearly not a crow. that is a dog.

also not a stone tower. Might be playing chess all the same? does he do the dreaded puppy-wiggle-attack when you get near?
