Being elected because your a genuinely awful person is not an indication of intelligence.

He really is as stupid as people say. Look at all the stupid shit he says. That’s not an intelligent person speaking. His sound bites sound even dumber in context than out. Like that time he very seriously suggested injecting bleach as a cure for Covid.

And no. Trump’s ego won’t let him take a back seat to anyone. Again: he incited an insurrection to over turn the last election. He’s a sore looser and will absolutely go scorched earth if he’s not handed the nomination (and/or looses the ‘24 election)

usually by way of vaping. teens only really start with cigarettes or other tobacco if their parents smoke, these days. And for the record, you can get addicted to nicotine off 2nd hand smoke if your around it enough.

Vaping is the “cool” thing to do now.

Generally speaking though, inhaling chemical aerosols into your lungs is bad. Most of the “it’s better” research is brought to you by the vaping industry itself . “No, no, it’s totally harmless. Honest!”

congress can- if they pull their heads out of their asses- impose ethics on the supreme court. States can go to ranked choice voting simply by doing it. Term limits would likely have to take an amendment.

yes. we can fix it. Will it be easy? absolutely not because these assholes built a system to share power between the two parties specifically because sharing power was more advantageous than risking people that would not maintain the status quo in. (No, this isn’t a “both sides” argument. the republicans being objectively, subjectively and in any other way you care to measure it genuinely awful people, does not mean the democrats aren’t assholes, too.)

Look, I didn’t say it was an easy thing to achieve. I said it’s a dream I have.

Probably a pipe dream given current political realities. it really would be nice, though, to have people that we’re voting for based on their merits. and not because of the other idiot’s objectionable qualities. “The lesser of 2 evils” voting style is exactly why we’re in this place.

I don’t disagree with that statement. There’s also something to be said with exploring how we actually elect people to positions. Especially president/vice pres tickets.
