TNG, like all Trek shows, takes a little while to find its footing. They were trying to follow the original cast and it took some time, after Riker grows his beard everything gets better and it’s endlessly rewatchable. Currently doing that now in fact before going back to DS9 as the crew of the Enterprise gives way to a whole new set of great characters 🖖

    Agreed. I see a lot of the same names around various different subs. My only complaint is the sports subs have a lot fewer folks and thus less engagement on GDTs but otherwise everyone seems to be more real and less toxic as a community, hopefully that vibe stays as the numbers grow.
