FordBeeblebrox , to world in US submarine pulls into Guantanamo Bay a day after Russian warships arrive in Cuba

They still use ski ramps and diesel subs, I’d want a tug nearby too anytime I left sight of port. Still better than being in the army though, probably.

FordBeeblebrox , to lemmyshitpost in Are they just typecasting him???

White guy with a lisp, you almost can’t recognize him

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Man sues Apple for accidentally exposing his infidelity

Just wiped and installed Sonoma on a MacBook, can confirm it defaults to on when you sign in with your Apple ID. Handoff is nice and all but I don’t need every device in the room dinging when the local car wash sends me a spam text. The watch is iffy, it mirrors the phone settings but sometimes my phone dings and sometimes my wrist does, not entirely sure why.

FordBeeblebrox , to lemmyshitpost in Ah, memories...

The fallout shelter at my jr high was turned into the cave all the theater nerds dwelled in. Now it probably a shooter shelter :(

FordBeeblebrox , to world in US submarine pulls into Guantanamo Bay a day after Russian warships arrive in Cuba

I think it’s pretty funny actually. This version of Helena is on her last cruise before being decommissioned. Shit is so not new we’re surfacing a boat built in 1987 to fly the flag and remind them they can go from sailor to swimmers at any second while near our coast, and if an LA class is around there’s probably a newer shark nearby.

FordBeeblebrox , to world in US submarine pulls into Guantanamo Bay a day after Russian warships arrive in Cuba

Oh they knew there were subs in the water…they just didn’t know where. The officers at least know we could turn their whole little armada into starter reefs at any time, the fact that we sent a boat scheduled to be scrapped later this year to surface is an extra fuck you flex that has to be intentional. We’re just now phasing out boats from the 80’s and they can’t keep a fleet afloat in a landlocked sea.

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Wells Fargo fires more than a dozen employees for faking work using mouse jigglers and keyboard activity simulation

It’s the “if you have time to lean you have time to clean” of the white collar world, why would they be paying the peasants if the toil isn’t visible

FordBeeblebrox , to memes in This is a real threat :(

Being able to switch the color from an app is a game changer

FordBeeblebrox , to lemmyshitpost in Ok. Now they've done it.

Aw hell naw! First Mr Rogers now Dolly? These monsters truly have no morals.

FordBeeblebrox , to world in EU elections 2024 live: Emmanuel Macron dissolves French parliament and calls snap elections after huge far-right gains

Are they electing our Trumps or are we electing their Mussolini? Shitty people being shitty is not a US exclusive, but you’re right.

As Saint George says, garbage in, garbage out

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Solar modules deployed in France in 1992 still provide 75.9% of original output power

Solar and wind are just different ways of capturing energy from a fusion reaction (Sol), but down the line after much of the energy is diffused. If we can replicate that reaction here, every cent and second spent on solar panels is the equivalent of buying watered down drinks at a bar instead of drinking straight from the still. Until we can replicate fusion, fission is still far better than any fossil fuel and more stable than water/wind. The problems are people, not the rocks that heat up

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Solar modules deployed in France in 1992 still provide 75.9% of original output power

The comment mentioned Homer (glowing green rods), I don’t recall any episode where Springfield deals with socks from radiology departments nearby. That kind of obfuscation is kinda par for the course any time you bring up nuke stuff though, folks don’t realize it’s a political problem not an engineering one and most of the anti nuke talking points are fabricated for fearmongering

FordBeeblebrox , to world in US says Russia’s advance on Kharkiv is ‘all but over’

Trading space and lives for time is an established Russian tactic

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Solar modules deployed in France in 1992 still provide 75.9% of original output power

That too along with 3MI, and decades of negative propaganda from the fossil fuel industry.

FordBeeblebrox , to technology in Solar modules deployed in France in 1992 still provide 75.9% of original output power

Imagine where we’d be if people didn’t automatically think nuclear power=Homer Simpson
