Quora results show up way more often than “that other website” now when I Google stuff. Google really took that exodus to heart lmao

But yeah fuck quora and their “sign in to see answers” and then it’s just more questions half the page. But sometimes it’s useful

It would start in a state court and progress to the state level Supreme Court, I imagine. After that it goes to the federal SC. This would be preferable if they are seeking punitive damages.

Or I guess they could appeal it to the federal level. This is the route if you wanted to make a precedent for the entire US.

Ferrari has some similar bullshit, but you agree to it in a contract when you buy the car. If you refuse they simply don’t sell you the car.

(Ferrari chooses you, not the other way around)

Exusia ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

Right, the club being Ferrari owners. They maintain a specific image of owner, and part of that image is “if you don’t like it then go buy another car”. I think it’s silly too, but for what they cost it’s not as if you’re bumming for a daily driver at unfavorable APRs.

For Ferrari, if you break their stipulations, they put you on a blacklist and won’t sell you another ever again. I can’t find any other hard-and-fast things they do because there’s a lot of rumor milling, but barring you from purchases and ending your dealership maintenance seem to be “for sure”. I imagine it comes with some other stigmas from the community too. But much like real estate covenants if you agree to something in a contract, and then break it, you’re subject to civil action. In a Covenant, the contract holders are permitted to buy back your house and evict you.

The glass “runs out” of flexs.

I’ve had 2 for a year each and no major issues. Now that this one is just out of warranty and working towards year 2 guess I’ll see. I love the sheer size of the screen so much.

Exusia ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

Yes, it doesn’t. Noone needs one of these, and that’s ok. The 4:3 ratio is irritating, but getting two rows of videos on youtube is soooo nice when just looking for a video.

Not really noticeable unless you wear super tight clothing and you get used to the weight.

There’s a superthin glass under the layer of plastic, it’s what cracks and breaks and gets all crunchy when you see broken ones with a rainbow in the middle. Jerryrigeverything has great teardown of em for how durable/fragile they really can be.

Because it’s the only game your console will have with the shitass packing they do

Exusia OP , (edited )
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

Each main cod is 150gb now

Downloaded dmz for some friends on pc it’s 68 so consoles probably see 75-80 if not more

This is BEFORE the fact that On console, each game demands its own space to unpack the entire thing when it tries to update. So on PS5 not only is the game 150gb, but you need 150 free space to update meaning the game is functionally a “ghost” 300gb (I uninstalled cold war over this shit, I don’t have time or room on a console for that fucking nonsense)

Exusia OP ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

On console: Mw2 150gb warzone2 115gb Mw2s “cod hq” for launching games 50gb (the only mandatory one) Mw3 seems to be about 190 looking at articles. (For campaign, zombies and warzone)

They’re starting to obfuscate where each thing comes from now with the Cod HQ Launcher to play off the size of the games. As well as let you delete components like zombies and campaign to “save space” that they hoarded.

Exusia OP ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

Developers follow industry leaders. If call of duty can sell a 240gb game (mw3 on ps5 without their launcher) other publishers look and will decide to get lazy optimizing. “We’re not call of duty, our game is ONLY 70gb!” You already see this.

Exusia OP ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

It’s not a nerve, in the March of progress there’s always someone at the front of the line youre not wrong., But these aren’t just in front, they’re racing the March like they want to set a new quarter mile record. Mw3 is 240gb (if you dont already have the launcher hub)

For most people who buy a console and forget about it, that’s ONE game with half the hard drive space already eaten, with 8 years left in the ps5s life, not counting support during “next gen”. It’s a lack of respect for consumers time updating it, because cod has to unpack its entire friggin size to update. Cold War demanded 180gb of “free space” to update. The game was ~160 before, and then ~165 after. It took 180gb to download 5gb. Thats half my hard drive.

Consumers will happily buy a hard drive “when it’s about that time” but consumers are not flush with cash to buy 5 externals for games each year, at the rate game sizes have gone. People also do not want to juggle what games are installed because thats a PITA too. At this stage cod should just come on an external hard drive, cartridge style.

Things to know you’re 30

“I wish the odd white one just went with the grain” (white hairs will grow whichever way they please, and it starts with only a few)

“Ah, that’s gonna be my bad knee”

“I don’t know why I have a sore spot there it just comes and goes”

“Dental repairs cost how much?” and suddenly brushing and flossing will be a second hobby

Tinnitus, but not like severe. Just once in awhile and often enough to keep you guessing like once a month or so.

“There was a pop but I don’t know where.”

“Oh my god I’m turning into my parents”

Apple doesn’t allow it. Users do , when they agree to share whatever let’s the funny nightmare rectangle play trendy and pleasant sounds from car sound nozzles. While also an automated voice reads texts aloud in the name of hands-free, for all occupants (and some outside if the volume is up). And also it needs to contact info, to make calls for all the silly-fillies that want to use siri while driving. And shoot to reply to meemaw with a family photo siri needs to access your images.

Meanwhile your new infotainment system is sending all this off like a $45,000 copier that it is, sending it off in packets when it gets wifi signals, because the kids needed that for their Xbox on road trips.

As far as my understanding, it was. Long bowmen were far more valuable because the costs associated with losing a knight was high. Infantry were given various polearms, and cavalry (or knights on horses) were given lances and spears. The kinetic energy from horseback functioned as good or better than trying to wind up swings of a weapon. Also human mobility is less than that of a horse before even accounting for armor, so being demounted from your horse mean almost certain death.

Swords were a last resort. A “running away is better” type of option. Being good with your sword is like being good with martial arts today - better to have it even if you may not use it.

Exusia OP ,
@Exusia@lemmy.world avatar

An archer can hit a man 450-1000 feet away. What’s a man clad in 200lbs armor gonna do? All he can do is take it. So the armor was sloped and thickened. Relying on horse speed to make them harder to hit.
