Can a reply to an ongoing email conversation land in spam?

Had an exchange of emails with someone, around 4-5 back and forth emails. He then told me that my last reply never arrived. When I forwarded that email again to him, he told me that actually the original reply arrived but landed in spam… he checked it after I forwarded the initial reply....

Absolutely. Ask Apple. Even the “VIP” all end up in the spam folder all the time too, and there’s no way to tell it “this isn’t spam”.

Guess you need to ask yourself how you see it improving your life, to answer that question.

IMO, no social media will improve your life, in a meaningful way. They may kill time, or seem like you're benefiting from them, but in the long run, they are propaganda/data collection machines, and nothing more.

lol. TikTok is absolutely NOT where you want to be then. I suppose you should ask yourself why you care about trends if you’re trying to live more intentionally.

As for giving up completely, imo it’s like people that go on hyper restrictive diets. It’s unrealistic. They fail every time. A reasonable amount of time on social is fine. It’s like ice cream, or a glass of wine. Once in a while is totally realistic. Spending all your time doing it is bad.

@dekema Understood, but what I think people are trying to say is that TikTok isn't what you are looking for. It's trash content to keep people scrolling. Arguably all social media is that, but TikTok also has the "bonus" of being enough chinese owned that it's also a concerning data collection tool.

There may be a handful of creators on there, but think just about every link from tiktok you see. Personally, every time I see anything from there it's some dumb dance, some dumb car trend, or a new "challenge", or someone rambling about something they did/someone they encountered in public.

Unfortunately, if you want to make money, you need to whore yourself out on some form of social, and it's usually mindless useless content. And because you need to post constantly, to keep the algorithms happy, the content suffers. TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook being the worst currently, imo.

IMO anything with that horrible foam (most shoes at this point) is going to last a year TOPS. In fact, running shoes with foam, are supposed to be limited to around 300 miles.

If you are talking about something like a half cab, that has the standard vans soles, yeah, I agree quality has gone down some (same with those new chuck 70s). They feel cheaper, and are made from far cheaper materials.

Personally, I have tons of shoes that are decades old, and still going, but I do not own any shoes with foam (mostly chuck taylors). And I'm apparently not very hard on shoes, somehow.

I think the unfortunate reality is you'll have to buy some expensive, high quality shoes, or expect to throw shoes out yearly.

There are companies like this one who claim to resole running shoes, but I don't know how far they can/do go, and have never used them before.

Yeah, totally in agreement. Dude was always a horrible, dumb, asshole.

I mean, he wanted to blow a nuke up in the atmosphere of mars, to change said atmosphere to be habitable to humans.

He also overrode engineers on Tesla's autonomous driving, and forced them to only use cameras, and zero sensors (like every other manufacturer knows doesn't work)

He bought twitter for far too much, and we are witnessing him kill it slowly.

I could really go on and on. He's always been a moron, and a horrible person. I really don't understand why anyone ever thought otherwise.

Oh, and should we mention that he tried to cosplay as a poor person, who started these multibillion dollar companies from nothing (this one is kinda disputed, but the only source that claims that he really was broke is musk himself)

@jacktherippah Probably, but you will also probably have to teach them to use it, and not the couch. Plus, they love to get up on high places, so if you get a tall one, they will enjoy climbing it.

BTW cats seem to LOVE that fake leather (real leather too, but I think they like the fake stuff more), so it may be a bit of a battle.

@Mrmcmisterson i have had iPhones for forever now. The only place i see ads (that Apple has control over) are the one bar in the App Store now, which didn’t happen until what 2 weeks ago. Every other ad is within an app itself or online.

Even Apple News doesn’t have ads. Nor do any of their exercise or music apps (at least not that I’ve seen)

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you there. The likelihood of it being a complete freak occurrence is slim to none. Call me a pessimist.

The end of the article does say its mating season though, so there may have been other factors at play. Animals tend to be pretty high strung, for lack of a better term, during mating season.
