How do I reference another community on my or another instance?
On reddit if I wanted to refer to a subreddit I’d type /r/oneOrangeBraincell/ and that would get turned into a link. What’s the lemmy equivalent?
There have been multiple accounts created with the sole purpose of posting advertisement posts or replies containing unsolicited advertising.
Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.

There are more efficient formats like JPEG-XL, HEIF and WebP. If you convert the RAW -> JPEG -> WebP you are losing more quality. I think iPhone uses HEIF format....
As most of the Lemmy users are security/privacy minded, after a question about alternative voices I’m wondering. Why would you allow a virtual assistance to spy on you constantly? (Especially when you don’t need to due to other limitations)...

Hey there, dear community, I migrated here from reddit. I wanted to dabble in piracy (Udemy and Art-Courses) for a while, but never knew how to start + a VPN is quite pricey if I don‘t use it/ use it incorrectly....

Does one government has the...
Maybe I never paid attention or maybe it’s the first time we’ve had wildfire smoke in my city recently, but I had been so confused at the “fog” and “clouds” despite it not being fog or clouds but Haze.
Obviously Lemmy, Mastodon, Pixelfed, etc. are federated decentralized equivalent to their centralized counterparts, but what is the counterpart in the fediverse to TikTok? Just had my old dumb LG TV die after 9 years of working just dandy. I lack the desire to root around for a dead capacitor so I am currently in the market for an approximate replacement to act as the display for my Linux media center in my living room. I figure this is the right crowd for finding a non-invasive TV so my Linux...

Also works reasonably well to keep my personal number clean from spam. What is out there that provides similar functionality?
A while ago I used to listen to the Linux outlaws which covered a lot of gtopics in Linux and FOSS. The show has discontinued and I’m looking for your recommendations....
