Today's #TeachWorldHistory image was from Giovanni Sercambi’s chronicle of his hometown of Lucca. This image reflects an experience of the Second Plague Pandemic. It provided an entry into discussing limits of sources, as opposed to their biases. Sercambi's illustration tells us how people thought of plague, but not how plague spread.
I put together an AP-style DBQ for my #TeachWorldHistory class last week using some of the plague sources. Just added it to a page with presentation I did on teaching the Second Plague Pandemic.
Hi, folks! I just joined Archaeo.social because I'm an archaeologist, although I see little archaeological content in the posts. I hope that's not a permanent condition. Look forward to seeing more from the group.
@Nohoch_Ol Archaeo should be a majority. In fact, that's why I check in periodically.
Look at "Live feeds", "This server" (the default). https://archaeo.social/public/local
^ Every post as it's created. Block/mute to reduce chatty accounts/bots you're not interested in.
"Explore" presents stuff from anywhere that's popular with folks on your instance.
Or follow a.gup.pe group accounts: bots that boost any public posts mentioning em. Somewhat like following a tag. Except they CAN go in lists. @archaeodons @antiquidons
😊 #Phantastik#Literatur
Zur Einstimmung schon mal ein Gemälde von Ernst Ferdinand Oehme, "Burg Scharfenberg bei Nacht", aus dem Jahr 1827.

I thought I'd posted here with my latest chapter of "Skirmishes and Schisms" on #WorldAnvil.
Chapter 7 is out, and as Klor'asq finally meets those who thought he needed freeing, Ferrfeiss wonders if all the heartache and effort had been for nothing.
@neilhimself That's not something I'd thought about, but I can look into it, thanks. I don't drive due to chronic pain and live in the middle of nowhere, but maybe virtual groups exist.
"But Kay’s situation is also unusual: For one, she sued the Rover for defamation. And documents made public recently as part of the lawsuit point the finger at not just the student publication but others at the university. The documents suggest that Notre Dame students, faculty, and alumni worked behind the scenes to amplify Kay’s statements and draw public outrage."
"We are seeking funds to offset the additional costs of Prof Kay’s lawsuit against the Irish Rover, and for costs to ensure her safety and security as she continues to try to ensure that academic freedom and safety are prioritized not only for herself but for all Notre Dame faculty, staff and students."
I am so sad because I have not been able to get the funds to be able to buy my medicines and be able to eat, it has been a very hard few days because without my medicines for depression I am very bad. Please if you see this help a Transgender girl who is trying to get out of a difficult situation🏳️⚧️💞

@LePertti visually the game is great, but the gameplay for the first part is a little rough around the edges. The visuals and story kept me going though.
Okay, I think I am done updating files for a while now.
I have fixed all known issues, and everything works well. The only issue is a cosmetic one that doesn’t really matter and is unlikely to be noticed (the Tab Manager Menu in landscape mode doesn’t expand to use the full screen, but it works well and is very usable).
So I think it’s safe for everyone to save the files they need now.
For anyone that saw my post yesterday (November 11th), please check it again. There are additional updates from today, and I edited that post to include them.
