I'm in flow when I can focus on the endless beautiful forms and patterns of nature. I love seeing how things connect. I used to observe nature as a job (as a scientist), but I could not survive in academia.
I'm also a mom.
A year or so ago, I found out about neurodivergence. Reading and listening to the accounts of autistic people sharing their experience filled me with an overwhelming feeling of peace and kinship. This lead to a path of self-discovery. I'm also learning about ADHD as my partner and my kid are AuDHD.
Does anyone have any links for reverse engineering Spotify DRM? I didn't necessarily need it for myself, have plenty of music, and it would be a pretty inefficient means of piracy vs. BitTorrent or like yt-dlp, but I'm curious how it works.
It always seems to me like the analog gap is particularly gaping with audio, and I wonder how far down to the metal it's protected.
What does it mean in terms of ethics when a song is not on Spotify and is not considered a song (is just a generic video) through YouTube Music? It seems to happen a lot to video game OSTs, especially Touhou music.
Treat the first line of you post as the title. You can see that your whole post, including hashtags, is on one line, and so creates a large messy title over here.
Keep hashtags out of the title as they create links that are messy
The next lines are treated as the body of the post … you can put everything else here including hashtags (which will work well) etc.
If you want to tag anyone else, make sure to tag them after the lemmy community, as lemmy only pays attention to the first tag (which is a measure to prevent spam)
I wrote a little demo of what works here: hachyderm.io/@maegul/110483509521476095
Otherwise … really appreciate the effort to try to bridge these two spaces!
How stressful is to be a yoga teacher? Engineers, doctors, school teachers are known to have a lot of pressure in their jobs, I wonder if the same happens for yoga teachers and similar jobs?
Seeing as Blast Fall Groups is starting tomorrow and is (to my knowledge) the first larger event since the Reddit blackout, what's the plan for post-match threads? Is the existing team from the subreddit going to make posts here as well? I'm willing to try my hand at creating some post-match threads, but I don't want to get in the way of any existing plans (and I'll probably be late/missing details anyways).
I have DM'ed you just now, but you absolutely can go ahead. Normally we have a PMT team outside the mod team responsible for that. You can experiment with the tool I sent you for now and we can see how that goes. The more people jump on this effort the merrier 🎭
an analysis of historical video game availability shows that only 13% of classic video games are currently commercially available across consoles and time periods, and only 3% of games prior to 1985
Some one game that comes to mind is one of my favourite RTS’s Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth (and it’s expansion Rise of the Witch King). It was published by EA. Unfortunately they no longer have the license for LOTR content so they can’t legally sell this game and you can’t buy it. Thankfully it’s still alive due to the piracy community and you can download a copy with all the cracks and whatnot.
