Yesterday was my first bigger "party" since self-diagnosis. It was a work event. After 2h, I was overloaded and in danger of getting a migraine. Could prevent with sugary drinks. After 4h, I got cranky but my ride wanted to go home, too.
Today, I have a social hungover. Luckily, we got the day off.
I am glad that I went, but the next time I try to recruit more of "my" people because everyone sticks to their team mates there, not so much mingling. #ActuallyAutistic 1/2
In the past, I would have been angry with myself for getting almost sick and being so overloaded. Now I know this is because of my #autism, because of how my brain is, that my senses are not deprived like with neurotypical people. It's pretty wild that they enjoy talking while loud music is played simultaneously and the surrounding is so busy.

I refuse to weed them, despite low use, because the digital equivalent is very expensive and it's the sort of information that will increasingly be locked behind paywalls
Uit! Verjaardagscadeau van twee jaar geleden. Fijn geschreven en een ontzettend boeiend onderwerp, al vond ik de podcast-achtige stijl waarin de schrijfster haar innerlijke identiteitsstrijd koppelt aan de zoektocht naar de drijfveren van David Starr Jordan soms wat teveel van het goede.
Maar ik heb het zelf ook nooit een probleem gevonden om orde en categorieën overhoop te gooien, dus dat zal wel aan mij liggen.

Getting in your climate controlled coach, driving to somewhere 40 miles away and arriving about a half hour later, and all the while you listened to a symphony played by a 100 piece orchestra.
I admit it's not as magical as being moved by words written someone 1000s of miles away or centuries in the past, but it is pretty damn good nonetheless.
Commencé en Janvier, je suis arrivé au bout de mon aventure sur Persona 5 Royal :D.
Le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est que le jeu était généreux (probablement un peu trop à mon goût ^^).
J'ai tout de même passé un très bon moment, malgré les longueurs ici et là (130h pour en voir le bout quand même !).
Je retiendrais surtout le polish des interfaces, le style qui s'en dégage (notamment à travers la bande son <3), et son scénario résolument mature (poignant à de nombreuses reprises).
Même si je suis content de l'avoir terminé, ça va me faire tout drôle de le mettre de côté alors qu'il m'a pratiquement accompagné toute l'année :).
@parigotmanchot C’était mon premier Persona (même si j’avais fait Tokyo Mirage Sessions qui s’en rapproche beaucoup, et qui a une durée « idéale » selon moi de 40-50h).
Je te rassure, j’ai fait quelques pauses pendant l’année. Je n’arrive plus à rester aussi longtemps sur le même jeu d’une traite (j’ai pas mal alterné avec Zelda TOTK, j’espère en voir la fin cette année également 😅).

I know I'm being dramatic here, but something just hasn't been sitting well with me ever since I started using Lemmy.
There's just this feeling I get here that the admins have a fucking agenda. And I could be wrong. But I hate bullshiters who won't tell it like it is.
More people need to call admins out on their bullshit. It's getting fucking ridiculous.
And I'm tired of the fucking arrogant attitude that some how running a server and being an admin makes you important in some way as if you're going to be the next elon musk or something. Get over yourselves.
It really feels that there is an ulterior motive based on what I see in the matrix chats.
Admins are not being transparent about there motives.
I'm on pretty much all of the lemmy matrix chats, and all they talk about is restricting the users experience, banning, defederating, purging accounts when they ban them so the user doesn't see why they were banned, and any everything that will put them in a position of power.
I also feel like they have accounts on all the other instances and post other bullshit trying to push their agenda and make these changes seem like a good idea.
Admins, quit fucking bullshitting like you're trying not to be like reddit. Yall seem to wet your panties at the idea of basically being in complete and total control of everything and Ban who ever you want based on your political ideologies.
I'm sure their are some who are not like this.

אז באסיפת הורים של גן תקשורת נציג העמותה התחיל למכור לכולם ניתוח התנהגות.
אני לא הייתי שם, כי לא הרגשתי טוב ובן הזוג היה לבד ולא היה לו את הביטחון לסתור אותו מול כולם.
היום הכנתי את טפסי ויתור סודיות, ציינתי במפורש שזה לא חל על מנתחי התנהגות, סייעות aba והתרפיסטיות.
ואז שלחתי לגננת (שמכירה אותי, שנה שלישית כבר) את ההסתייגות שלי ואת דעתי על הסיטואציה בה משווקים להורים "טיפול" שמצפים מהם לעשות גם בבית בלי שום גילוי נאות שזה שנוי במחלוקת, נזקים, כלום.
