I like being to leave a pair of headphones in my bag without having to worry about charging or pairing when I switch devices.

So Much This

catonwheels ,

I used it a lot.

I had to buy two pair of Bluetooth earbuds for just lasting through my day.

We used to have a box of headsets for users that could grab and use. Now it headache.

As many say it is one thing if it was replaced by something useful but now world so complicated just to sell more things.

ShroOmeric ,

Everyday. No jack, no buy.

notapantsday ,

Never ever. It wasn’t the reason why I got my current phone, but I thought I would use it at least sometimes. I don’t.

Oderus ,

I was forced to buy wireless headphones because phones stopped using the 3.5mm jack. I still have a pair of wired earbuds but they’re useless now as I only have 3.5mm on my work laptop.

The positive is my new wireless headphones are awesome and work very well, but they’re over the ear so I can’t use them for snowboarding like I could with my wired earbuds. They charge ultra fast and last up to 30 hours and they come with a 3.5mm jack if the battery dies. You don’t get noise cancelling when using the 3.5mm jack but at least it works.

I always used it when I had one.

Now, I use an adapter for headphone jack to USB-C. Every day.

nyar ,

I would but I had a terrible habit of getting snagged on things when walking around. I’ll take the worse quality of Bluetooth over destroying my port, my headphones, or my ears.

TK420 ,

This is exactly why I ditched wired headphones, they are snaggers and no, I’m not routing a cable down my shirt.

Canuck ,

I walk through some neighbourhoods with many high-risk apartments, and there is so much interference from all the Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, and other wireless devices using 2.4 GHz, that even the best wireless headphones skip & stutter playback.

It also takes so much longer to switch wireless headphones to a different device, especially when they all compete to connect to the headphones.

Let me make the decision when to use wireless, don’t make it for me. A DAC USB-C dongle is dumb.

kent_eh ,

Daily until I had to get a new phone that didn’t have one.

After that I got an adapter so I could continue using the various 3.5mm headphones thar I already own

I have my headphones in literally right now. I use my phone as my primary media system, so video sources like YouTube and Nebula and audio like music and podcasts. I listen with wired headphones for any time I am not physically very involved as they are higher quality and provide a much more enjoyable listening experience, but I will switch to Bluetooth headphones when being more physically active.

That said, I am a very high consumer of audio. I currently have 129 podcasts I am subscribed to (some no longer run, but most are weekly to monthly), along with a whole lot of audiobooks. I am currently at well over 2200 hours played in my podcast app this year and that excludes all the audiobooks and videos.

I dont

Fwiw there are some pretty solid portable Bluetooth dacs so you don’t have to have your phone port plugged all the time.

anon_8675309 ,

Because sometimes I just want simplicity. If I’m sitting in a room with my laptop, iPad and two phones it’s a freaking crap shoot which one my BT headphones are going to connect to.

But alas, none of my phones have a jack anymore so I use a dongle.

BugleFingers ,

I have an old phone I still use for media because it has the headphone jack, it’s also great to watch stuff in a room with other people in it like when a partner is watching TV or something. I bought the FairPhone 4 because I heard they (the company) made phones with it and failed my due diligence and was promptly disappointed with the lack of jack. Still my biggest gripe with this phone and still a feature I love and want back.

You can even munch on bugles and still hear your video! Its amazing!

Roldyclark ,

Wish I still had one. I use wired headphones on my iPhone daily.

Caesium ,

every day pretty much. the only reason why I own Bluetooth is so I can get away with listening to music at work.

I also play a rhythm game on my phone a lot, and theres noticeable delay in audio with Bluetooth compared to wire. calibration fixes it sure, but a good chunk of me is just discontent knowing it simply knowing it exists.
