I never use my headphone jack. I don’t care if my next phone has one. Having wires attached to my phone is enormously inconvenient to me. Plus I have a thing where I need to be able to hear what’s going on around me, so I bought some Bose sunglasses and put prescription lenses in them. I love them. They definitely sacrifice on the bass, but I can wear them at work and still hear if someone knocks on my door or starts talking to me. They last about 5 or 6 hours and charge pretty quickly. I hardly ever have to charge them more than once per night.

I use mine quite often with my senhizer 206

I don't use earbuds much with it but whenever I do its with the headphone jack. Do you use earbuds any other way or is it just you don't use them often?

Multiple hours per day. I listen to a lot of podcasts at work on my porta pros and music on my etymotics. I don’t like dealing with wireless stuff.

All the time, it’s great for riding the train or focusing at work. I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones but they’re slower and harder to connect so I prefer wired over them. Also since wired are cheaper and don’t require batteries I can keep a spare pair in my car or at my desk so I never have to worry about forgetting and not having them

Never. Bluetooth AirPods 100% of the time.

A lot

I’ve never liked or wanted a wire connecting me to my phone. It’s irritating and is a hugely negative stim for me, akin to nails on a chalkboard.

I use a USB C dongle sometimes which works great, but mostly wireless these days

I use mine almost daily. I just like not having to worry about battery life. Quality on a $50 pair of IEMs is ahead of a $150 pair of BT Bose I got as a gift once, so that’s another plus.

For all those complaining about the wire snagging, I run it under my clothes. Barely feel it and it doesn’t snag anywhere now :)

ever since I got a new phone with a headphone jack, been wanting to get a usb c to headphone jack adaptor, still dont have any headphones I can use with my phone

I use it less and less. I was still using wired headphones quite often when I got my current phone couple years ago but since then I switched to BT in like 95% of cases. The remaining 5% is mostly travelling. Noise cancelling headphones are too big to carry and small BT headphones don’t have enough battery for a long trip. In a couple of years when I’ll be changing my phone it will still be be really nice to have mini jack in it but if there’s no reasonable option I might do without.

Only when my wireless earbuds batterie dies

I use lightning cord headphones because using my hearing aids as Bluetooth all the time drains them and there are connectivity issues over random shit.

That said, yeah, it’s a minor annoyance that I don’t have an aux jack, and the waterproofing is more valuable to me

Incidentally using my hearing aids as headphones has started causing me problems because they autoconnect to Bluetooth and my upstairs neighbors have just gotten Bluetooth speakers. I need to find a way to make them stop connecting to those devices for my sanity
