Hmm, I have no idea what the mayo/ketchup thing is. Looking it up on “know your meme” is basically just blank with a video that doesn’t exist anymore. Far as I can tell, they are individually both popular condiments in most countries, and using them together is even pretty popular in most countries still. So it must be some specific reference I just can’t find?
So, I think I found the correct answer, sadly I had to read a reddit post for it. Apparently, it is someone saying that they’ll eat 1 tablespoon of ketchup or mayo for each like their review gets. It’s only one source but it was the OP of this meme on /r/Steam (at least the result I found anyway) so maybe that’s correct.
You see, I don’t play games on consoles because I don’t like controllers.
I mean, I’ll use them in some scenarios, but the position I need to sit in to hold a controller is usually uncomfortable.
I’ve been playing PC games since the 90’s. I picked up an Xbox one S, and even set it up, and it’s been very good at collecting dust since I bought it. I got it used, so no big loss, but still.
I’m not going to pay $500+ for another dust collector, just to have the privilege to pay extra for games, and be uncomfortable playing them, then have no option to switch to a PC later because I only own that game on the stupid console.
It’s a waste of my time and money.
And if I really want to play a game with a controller, I can do that on my PC too.
Simply, if I buy a game on console, I’m forced to use that console and it’s controller, to play. If I buy it on PC, I can play it however the fuck I want to, on any system I want to. Fuck your exclusivity deals, and fuck you.
Mainly micro transactions. Though its not as bad as other games i don’t agree with them being in games that cost money. If they are going to be added i think the game should be free. Its mainly a critique of online gaming in its current state.
The gameplay was not my kind of game but that’s more of a personal preference than it being a bad game. I watched a ton of gameplay and had friends stream it to me and it looked very dull. He came across a lot of bugs while playing too such as clipping through the map forcing him to restart the entire mission.
I know but id prefer it not being there to begin with as its a slippery slope. Its much more fun to earn loot than grind for coins or pay for them to get the skin.
The micro-transactions barely exist and was easy be bought with premium currency found in the game. There are paid battle passes but none of the items within give you much of an edge over anyone else, and those battle passes also award premium currency which can be used to buy the next battle pass. They’re not timed, either. You can buy one battle pass and sit in it for a year before completing it.
As far as MTX go, they’re the most inoffensive I’ve ever seen in a game.
I understand. I just prefer them to not be there at all. Ill only buy extra in a game if its in the form of a dlc that adds great content for example the following dlc for dying light or liberty city stories for GTA 4. Buying weapons and cosmetic feels cringe to me
It always catches my attention when a game is a mix of genres that sound like they shouldn’t be. “Rougelite City Builder” was another that sounded like it didn’t make any damn sense but they pulled it off well (Against the Storm).
Some obscure title will surely have weird driver, hardware and OS quirks. For example Crazy Machines 2’s physics break down and the fixes didn’t work for me. They use PhysX for their physics engine, before Nvidia acquired it, and it was heavily updated of course and now the puzzles don’t work anymore. Maybe somebody found another solution to it by now, but I haven’t checked it.
Child of light, a Ubisoft game, I couldn’t get working on windows 10. Forums say it hasn’t been patched since vista… Even if I copy the files over locally I don’t think I’ll have much luck getting uplay to run. Thanks DRM.
