It shouldn’t be needed but if the state doesn’t protect, the community that has to live there should arm itself. At the very least to discourage physical attacks. As a bonus, conservative governments tend to spur into action when the “wrong” groups pickup arms.

Isn’t that the actual purpose of the 2nd amendment? You are allowed a militia. So if one isn’t provided, make your own. Like when Black Panthers were protecting the right to vote.

I’ll never forget the group of African American protestors during George Floyd who were all armed to the teeth. So good.

A reporter asked “why all the firearms, sir?”

Ice cold response: “Why not?”

Wish I could find the clip. It honestly felt like a live action clip from a boondocks episode.
