I feel like we live in a third-world country.

A third-world country with casual access to caustic chemicals ☝️😌

Lifecoach5000 ,

Yeah what kind of acid can a kid get that does shit like this??

SheeEttin ,

Some kind of cleaning product maybe? Or something stolen from chemistry class?

nuachtan ,

The local article says the 12 year old’s mother gave it to her in a bottle. The article also describes the substance as a “weapon”.

520 ,

Battery acid can do the trick

Blamemeta ,

They should go after the adults with important questions about why she had access to such an acid.

Most people probably have drain cleaner stashed somewhere in their house under a sink somewhere. This isn't exactly one of those situations where a kid finds a loaded gun in their parent's unlocked nightstand.

TenderfootGungi ,

Probably, but do we know that?
