The issue is that Musk is a wholly reprehensible person and this is the only good thing he has done in his life.
So people who like Musk (Tech bros, finance bros, Libertarians) downvote the post for trashing Musk, and Socialists downvote the post for supporting NATO-aligned imperial interests (or, if taken from a different lens, for trying to rehabilitate Musk).
The article loses the Left and the Right and its only real audience is the Centrist Liberals who both hate Musk and love the Ukraine.

I don’t think there’s too many muskrats on Lemmy, not in my experience anyway. This place is the polar-opposite to Reddit as far as political ideologies go. I’d expect the pro-communist / pro-Russian tankies are downvoting.
If/when you get salmonella poisoning, you will find out. I didn’t understand how people died of diarrhea-based diseases until then. You shit literal liquid every 30 minutes or less, for like two weeks, and it’s unstoppable. In my case, it never really did get better. I got diagnosed with virally induced ibs and nothing ever worked quite right after that. It’s been three years since I ate that recalled food (which wasn’t in recall at the time, yay).
Salmonella feels less like a disease, and more like you accidentally ingested some sort of rat poison and your body is desperately trying to get it out by making you vomit and shit like crazy so it doesn’t stay in you.
It’s the only time I actually wished for a cork, or perhaps adult diapers. It was a new low for me, I felt like I was gonna die, lol.
My doctor told me shitting 4-5 times a day ain’t normal, lol. Things seem to slowly be getting better though. I dunno if my body will ever truely go back to 100%. Some say salmonella damages your immune system permanently, and based off my ass, I fucking believe it.
I think I’ve been constipated 2-3 times in the last few years since then, and I savor the feeling, lol. My hope that in another few years…perhaps I’ll be back down to 1-2 times a day.
It’s been like 15 years for me after a similar situation and 1-2 times a day is no problem, but the window to get to a bathroom is shorter than I once remember, and any kind of stress, particularly in the morning, makes for a bad time (early travel days, etc).
I was on a Ryanair flight a few years ago, and out of 3-4 toilets that should have been working, only one was. And a staff member had to hold the door shut on that. The queue was all the way down the plane for like 3 hours of the 4 hour journey.

Lopez Obrador complained that past administrations used Pegasus to spy on him while it’s proven that he is doing it to news reporters.
Speaking of news reporters, we got the sadly top record of killing them, people that reported against his administration.
It is well known that he is letting drug cartels work to be at “peace” with them because he complained that Calderon’s administration had a war against them. The issue is that most of the cartel people are uneducated bullies that do whatever they want and one can’t defend yourself because we are afraid.
Lopez Obrador has given lots of power/money to the army and most of us are afraid in case he’s planning to pull a Venezuela here. Army in Mexico isn’t like the US one, think about US cops on steroids. He closed a mayor airport project only because it was started by the last administration, he claimed there was corruption but never showed proof of it, and used an old small military airport instead. That ended up costing way more than the original airport in fines as payment to those “corrupt” people.
While Mexico has tons of oil we all know it isn’t the future and he heavily invested in a refinery at the state where he is from. So much that is screwing other areas.
He has granted government concessions directly to his people. By law there should be a contest.
He has giving us the speech that there’s not enough money that we need to tight the belt while he spends lots of money in other things like Tren Maya or that refinery.
Every freaking day he has a TV show (4 hours or more) where he claims he’s reporting what he’s doing but most of the time he’s just praising his political party and dissing others, he has reporters there asking questions but most of the time they are kissing his feet (Google Lord Molecula, I’ll admit he’s a character because of what he wears but he’s mayor kiss ass). Sometimes he gets a real reporter asking uncomfortable questions but he just disses them “because they are paid by the opposition”.
You can Google the news but most are in Spanish.
Don’t get me wrong, it sounds like I’m against him while I’m supporting the other side, they are all the same, left or right, they just want to fill their pockets while screwing the country.
I’m tired of him being almost a celebrity and some people kissing his feet.
While there’s an internal election that picked Sheinbaum, let me remind you that she was his favorite and his followers treat him like a celebrity. Mexico has a history of presidents designing their sucesor.
Don’t get me wrong lots of people love him, I bet I’ll get reply from a someone defending him.

It’s a fine and possibly a year in prison for each count. But the judge can rule no jail time and just fines which is what I’m betting is what will happen.

Former President Donald Trump’s top White House trade adviser Peter Navarro was found guilty Thursday of two counts of criminal contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
A jury in Washington, D.C., convicted the former Trump administration official following a trial that lasted just over a day. Navarro’s defense team called no witnesses.
Sentencing is set for January, and Navarro faces a maximum of one year in prison and a fine of $100,000 for each count.
